ﺍ Laylatul Qadr – Night of Power

Recommended Prayer The prayer consists of 2 Rakaats and prayed in similar way as your Fajr prayers with the following changes • In each Rakaat • Sura al-Faatiha once (1) • Followed by Sura al-Ikhlas (Tawheed) seven (7) times • Complete as you would Fajr prayers. • Intention is for Laylatul Qadr prayers It is recommended to say the aforementioned supplicatory prayer that begins with the following statement: . . ﺍ ﺍﺍ ﺍ

After the completing the prayer, the following should be repeated 70 times: ﺍﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﻩ ﻭ ﺍﺗﻮﺏ ﺍﻟﻴﻪ I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent before Him. According to a Hadith reported from the Holy Prophet (SAW), Almighty Allah will forgive one who offers this prayer and will forgive his parents before he leaves his place. It is recommended to repeat the following 100 times ﺍﻟ ﻱ ﻭ I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I repent before Him.

Dua#2 for the Nights of Laylatul Qadr – Dua ﺍﻟ ﻱ . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﻱ ﺩﺍ ﺍﺭﺍ I have passed the evening as a very humble servant of Yours ﻻ ﻱ ﻋﺎ ﻻ ﺍ I have no control over the gains and losses for my self ﻻ ﺍ ﻭﺀﺍ and I cannot drive back any evil from myself.

ﻯﻱ I testify to this against myself. ﻱ ﻳﻱ To You do I confess of my powerlessness and my feebleness. آ ﻯ So, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad ﻱﺍﻱ and fulfill what You have promised me,

ﻳ ﺍﻳ ﺍﺍ as well as all the believing men and women; ﺍ ﻱ ﺍﻟ that is Your forgiveness at this night, ﺍ آﻱ and accomplish that which You have conferred upon me, ﻱ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻳ for I am Your slave—the poor, the humble,

ﺍﻟ ﻳ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻳ the weak, the needy, and the humiliated. ، ﺍﻟ ﻻ ﻱ ﺍﻳ ﻳﺍ ﻱ O Allah: (please) do not make me negligent of the mention of You as regards that which You have bestowed upon me, ، ﻻ ﺍﻻ ﻹﺍ ﻳﺍ ﻱ And do not make me inadvertent to Your favors to me as regards that which You have given me,

ﺍﻟ ﻳ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻳ the weak, the needy, and the humiliated. ، ﺍﻟ ﻻ ﻱ ﺍﻳ ﻳﺍ ﻱ O Allah: (please) do not make me negligent of the mention of You as regards that which You have bestowed upon me, ، ﻻ ﺍﻻ ﻹﺍ ﻳﺍ ﻱ And do not make me inadvertent to Your favours to me as regards that which You have given me,

ﻻ آﺳ ﺍ ﻱ And do not make me despair of Your responding to me, even if such response is postponed, ﻱ ﺍ ﺍ Whether I be in prosperity or adversity ﺍ Or hardship or comfort

ﻭﺍ ﻻ Or well-being or ordeal, ﺍ Or misery or bliss. . ﻳ ﺍﻟﺍ Verily, You are the Hearer of prayers. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Dua#3 for the Nights of Laylatul Qadr - Dua ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﺍ . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ، ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﺍ O He Who has been always there before all things,

، ﻳ And He then created all things, ، ﻯﻯ And He then stays while all things vanish. ، ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻱ O He Whose like in not found at all ، ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﻱ ﺍﻟﺍﺍ ﺍﻟﻯ O He; neither in the highest heavens,

، ﻻ ﻱ ﺍﻷﻳ ﺍﻟﻯ Nor in the lowest layers of the earth ، ﻻ ﻻ ﻻ ﺇﻟ Nor above them, nor beneath them, nor there is between them any god that is worshipped save Him. ، ﺍﻟ ﺩ ﻻ ﻯ ﻯ ﺇﺍ ﺇﻻ To You be the praise that none can count save You,

ﻯ آ ﻻﻻﻯ . ﻯ ﺇﺍﺍ ﺇﻻ So, please bless Mu¦ammad and the Household of Muhammad with the blessings that none can count save You. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Dua#4 for the Nights of Laylatul Qadr– ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻳﺍ ﻱ . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻳﺍ ﻱ O Allah: at the time of taking decisions ﺍﻷ ﺍﻭ That are inevitable ﻳﺍ ﺍﻷ ﺍﻳ ﻱ ﺍ and rendering possible things and events decisively, in the night of Qadr ,

ﻓﻲ ﺍﺍ ﺍﻱ ﻻ ﻻ In the decisions that are neither retreated nor altered— ﻱ ﺍ ﺍﺍ write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Your ‘Sacred House’ ، ﺍﻭ whose pilgrimage receive Your approval, ، ﺍﻭ whose efforts are appreciated,

، ﺍﻭ ﻭ whose sins are forgiven, ، ﺍ ﺍ and whose offenses are pardoned by You, ﺍ ﻳﻤﺎ ﺿﻲ And decide from among the decisions that You make, ، ﻳ ﻱ that You make possible for me long life

… ﻱ ﻱ And to grant me enough means of livelihood… Hajjat – Ask for your wishes ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Quran Aamal

It is recommended to open a copy of the Holy Qur’an between one’s hands and say the following: . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍ ﺍ ﻳ ﻳ ﺍ ﺍﻯ ﺍ ﺍ ﻯ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ O Allah, in the name of this Holy Book sent by Thee, whatever there be in the Book. Including Ism-e-A'azam and Asmaa-e-Husnaa and the things to be dreaded, the things that may be expected and desired, ( like blessings of Heaven). Treat me as one of those who are free from Hell fire. Request your wishes – Hajjat

It is recommended to put a copy of the Holy Qur’an on the head and say the following: . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﻻ ﻳ ﻩﺍ ﺍآ ﺍﻟ O Allah! I appeal to Thee in the name of this Qur'an and the Rooh that was sent along with it, and in the name of the Momin (believer) whose praise is contained in this Book and The obligation that is on them. No one else recognizes the right and truth more than Thee. Then, one should repeat each of the following ten times each:

ﺍ ﺍﻟ For Your sake, O Allah,

for the sake of Muhammad,

for the sake of `Ali,

ﺍ for the sake of Fatimah,

ﺍ for the sake of Hasan,

ﺍ for the sake of Husayn

ﺍ for the sake of `Ali ibn Husayn,

for the sake of Muhammad ibn `Ali,

for the sake of Ja`far ibn Muhammad,

ﻭﻯ for the sake of Musa ibn Jafar,

ﻭﻯ for the sake of `Ali ibn Musa,

for the sake of Muhammad ibn `Ali,

for the sake of `Ali ibn Muhammad,

ﺍ for the sake of Hasan ibn `Ali,

ﺍ for the sake of al-Hujjah. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Specific Amaal for the 23 rd Night of Ramadhan – Dua Faraj . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍﻟ O Allah: (please) be for Your representative, al-Hujjah, son of al-Hasan— ﺍ ﻯ آﺍ Your blessings be on him and on his forefathers ﻱ ﻫ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻓﻲ ﺍ now and at all times

ﺍﻇ (please, be his) friend and guardian ﺍﺩ ﺍﺭ And leader and helper ﻳﻼ ﻧ And guide and watcher

ﻭﻯ ﻋ So that You shall allow him to prevail on Your lands willingly . ﻳﺍ ﻳﻼ And You shall make him enjoy it for a long time. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Supplications Specific to the 23 rd Night of Ramadhan . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ، ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻱ ﻱ ﻱ O Allah: (please do) prolong my lifetime, ، ﻱ ﻱ ﻱ And expand my sustenance, ، ﻱ ﻱ And make my body healthy,

Supplications Specific to the 23 rd Night of Ramadhan ، ﻱ ﻱ And make me attain my hopes, ﺍﻷﺍ ﺍﻱ ﺍﻷﺍ And if I am written with the unhappy ones, (please) erase my name from this list, ، ﺍﻱ ﺍﻟﺍ And write it with the happy ones,

Supplications Specific to the 23 rd Night of Ramadhan ﻱ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻯ : ﺍﻟ ﺍ آ For You have said in Your Book that You revealed to Your missioned Prophet, Your peace be upon him and his Household: ( ﺍﻟﺍ )ﻭ ﺍﻟ ﺍﺍ Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the “ basis of the Book. ”

It is recommended to say the following supplication that is mentioned in the book of ‘Iqbal al-A`maal’: . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ، ﺍ ﺍﻧ ﻱ ﻭ O He Who is intrinsic though He is evident, ، ﻭﺍ ﺍﺭ ﻱ ﻭ And He Who is evident though He is intrinsic; ، ﺍ ﺍﻧ ﻯ O He Who is intrinsic that is not missed

، ﺍ ﺍﺭ ﻯ And He Who is evident but He cannot be seen; ، ﺍ ﻭﻓ ﻻ ﻭ ﻭ ﻻ ﻭ O He Who is described, but neither any other described thing nor can any boundary attain His Being; ، ﺍ ﺍﺑ ﻭ O He Who is absent but not lost,

، ﺍ ﺍﺩ ﻭ And He Who is present but not witnessed. ، ﺍ When He is sought, He shall be obtained, ، ﺍﻟﺍﺍ ﺍﻷ ﺍ ﺍ And neither the heavens, nor the earth nor can anything that is between them be empty of Him.

، ﻭﻻ He cannot be realized by asking ‘How is He? ’ ، ﻻ ﻻ And His place cannot be identified by asking, ‘Where is He? ’ or ‘What is His place? ’ ، ﻭ ﺍﻟﻭ ﺍﻷﺍ You are verily the light of all lights and the Lord of all lords.

، ﻳ ﺍﻷﻣﻮ You have comprehended all things. ﺑﺍ ﻟ Glory be to Him Whose like is non-existent, ! ﺍﻟﻣﻴ ﺍﻟﺻﻴ And He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.

! ﺳﺒﺍ ﻫﺍ ﻻ ﺍ ﻩ Glory be to Him Who is in this state and nothing else can be ever in his state. Hajjaat one may pray for settling his needs. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ

Recite the following supplication on the 23 rd Night of Ramadhan: . ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻡ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍﻟ O the Lord of the Grand Night ، ﺍﺍ ﺭ And He Who decided it to be better than one thousand months; ﺍﻟ ﺍﻟﺍ And the Lord of night and day

ﺍﻟﺍ And the Lord of mountains and oceans, ﺍﻟ ﺍﻷﺍ And the Lord of darkness and light, ، ﺍﻷ ﺍﻟﺍ And the earth and the heavens. ﺍﺍﺍ O the Maker, O the Fashioner,

، ﺍ ﺍ O the All-tender, O the All-favorer ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍ O Allah, O the All-beneficent, ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻭ O Allah, O the Self-Subsisting, ، ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻳ O Allah, O the wonderful Originator,

ﺍ ﺍﻟ O Allah; ، ﺍﻷﺍ ﺍﻟﻯ To You are the Most Excellent Names, ، ﺍﻷﺍ ﺍﻟﺍ And the most elevated examples, ، ﺍﻟﺍ ﺍﻵﻼ And greatness and bounties.

، ﻯ آ I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, ﺍﻱ ﻱ ﻫ ﺍﻟ ﻱ ، ﺍﻟﺍ And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, ، ﻭﻱ ﺍﻟﺍ And to add my soul to the martyrs,

، ﺍﻱ ﻱ ﻳ And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank ، ﺍﻱ ﻭ And to decide my offense to be forgiven, ، ﻱ ﻳﻨ ﺍ ﻱ And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart ، ﻳﺍﻧ ﺍﻟ ﻱ And faith that removes dubiosity from me

، ﻱ ﺍ ﻱ And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me ، آﺍ ﻱ ﺍﻟﺍ And (please) grant us reward in this world ، ﻱ ﺍﻵ And reward in the Hereafter, ، ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻟﻳ And save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

، ﺍﻱ ﻳﺍ ﺍﻟ And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, ﺍﻹﺍ ﺍﻟﻳ ﺍ ﺩ آ . ﺍﻟﻻ And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them. ﺍﻟ ﻯ آ
