Every senior will respect the authority of the administrators, faculty, and designated staff.

Senior Code Of Conduct ❖ All seniors are expected to abide by all school rules and regulations ❖ Seniors must respect the personal property of others, as well as the property of any event facility ❖ Seniors may not possess or consume any alcoholic beverages ❖ Seniors may not possess or use any drugs or other controlled substances ❖ Seniors may not possess or use e-cigarette, vape or tobacco products

Senior Code Of Conduct ❖ All invited guests must be a student in good standing – no discipline violation and must not have more than 7 absences in any class ❖ All invited guests will be expected to behave in accordance with the aforementioned guidelines ❖ Seniors must dress appropriately to all events – no refunds will be given for a dress code violation ❖ Taft Charter High School reserves the right to refuse attendance at any senior event due to any conduct/dress code/participation violation. ❖ NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR A VIOLATION

Senior ATTENDANCE POLICY Presented by: Mr. Loza, Assistant Principal POLICY: In order to ensure that seniors attend their classes on a regular basis, Taft Charter High School has instituted the following Senior Attendance Policy in conjunction with the LAUSD Attendance Policy for 2020 -2021 academic year. A senior must meet the eligibility requirements in order to attend senior class activities. All seniors enter the fall semester eligible for senior activities unless otherwise notified by Ms. Infante, Senior Class Sponsor or Mr. Loza, Assistant Principal.

Senior ATTENDANCE POLICY ELIGIBILITY: ❖Per LAUSD policy, students must achieve 96% or better attendance in a full academic school calendar year ❖Students are expected not to exceed more than 7 absences per year ❖Any senior who accumulates seven absences in any single class at any time will be ineligible for all senior activities for the remainder of the year

Senior ATTENDANCE POLICY ELIGIBILITY: ❖Seniors who experience extraordinary circumstances during the course of the year, such as chronic illness, acute emergency illness, or other unseen events, must immediately notify the nurse, Ms. Infante and Jose Loza, Assistant Principal. Documentation must be provided if requested by appropriate personnel for verification

CAP & GOWN POLICY Presented by: Ms. Infante, Senior Class Co. Sponsor ❖ Parent(s)/guardian(s) or students may now purchase the cap, gown, and tassel as a keepsake or may rent free-of-charge and return the cap, gown, and tassel in undamaged condition within a week after the ceremony. Regardless of the decision, all eligible graduating seniors will be outfitted with a cap, gown, and tassel.

CAP & GOWN POLICY Four options are available: ❖ Option 1: The student may purchase the cap, gown, and tassel and keep all items as a keepsake. The student will receive eight graduation tickets as part of the Herff Jones package
