Special procedures VW GROUP Lupo, Polo, Golf, Bora, New Beetle, Passat, Sharan (97 -04) With this part of the software it is possible to set/code the ECU installed on vehicles, made by the VW group, specifically for models: Lupo, Polo, Golf, Bora, New Beetle, Passat e Sharan starting from model/year 1997 to 2004 - approx. This procedure can be carried out on new ECUs and as well as already coded ones (excluding AIRBAG and IMMOBILIZER). The code inserted must always be at least 5 digits. Should the code be less, place in front of the code a sufficient number of zeros to reach 5 digits. E. g: - ECU code 65, insert 00065. DIAGNOSTIC APRIL 2008 Company Confidential

Special procedures VW GROUP ENGINE MANAGEMENT DPF REGENERATION This procedure allows the forcing of Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration, and must be performed if the DPF warning light is ON, (indicating a fault or low performance. ). To carry this out, first check the fuel level (1/4 of the tank min. ) and then just set off the function and follow the tool messages. Once the regeneration starts, the vehicle must be driven over 50 km/h (30 Mph) until the DPF warning lamp switches off. The values are stored in the ECU defining the EGR working range (min. , max. and intermediate position). The procedure is necessary in case of component replacement or when the learnt values are erased. To achieve it, correctly carry out the following: • Vehicle stationary and on a flat surface. • Centrally align wheels and steering wheel • Avoid placing loads on steering wheel • Set off the procedure To check that the procedure has gone successfully, drive the vehicle at 30 km/h (20 mph) and steering fully left and right check if the steering returns to its original position (+/- 20 degrees). Once the procedure is set off, it asks to which cylinder to assign the injector code. After having selected the cylinder ID (1 -4), the stored code is shown; just insert the new one and confirm.
