ADVERTISING • Flyers/ Banners MUST have activities stamp visible • Only use blue tape to hang flyers/ posters • Flyers/ Banners can only be placed in common areas or common bulletin boards and are not allowed on hallway walls. • Common Areas include pawvillion, panther square, auditorium area, outside cafeteria entrances. • You can use common boards in 900’s and 700’s • DO NOT place flyers on top of existing bulletin boards • Covering up someone else’s work is not allowed • You will lose flyer privileges

DM us an Instagram post or tweet and we’ll share! • Use TVP to advertise • panthertvp@gmail. com to send announcements • Need 24 -48 hrs notice to get announcements placed on air • DO NOT send announcements to office for the PA. • PA announcements are for last minute emergencies
ACTIVITIES FAIR • When: Wednesday, September 18, all day in the gym • 9 th and 10 th Grade English Classes • 11 th and 12 th Graders during lunches • Tables: You’ll be sharing one table • Sponsor must fill out request form through google classroom • PLEASE REMIND THEM • You’ll be out all day (recommended) • Or your sponsor will chose students to represent each period. • Required Event! • Most creative club display– pizza party at your next meeting!
ACTIVITIES FAIR • Student Council in conjunction with our Science Department has begun a Green Initiative called “Green Dreams”. • We are trying to make more Eco Friendly Decisions in our everyday life • To continue with this goal, no club can hand out items at the Activities Fair. No flyers, cards, candy, anything! We want to be as close to zero waste as possible! • Consider reusing any poster or cardboard stand throughout the year instead of throwing it away after the fair. • If you want people to walk away from your table with information we suggest using a QR code that students can scan or having a computer they can use to fill out a “request information” form. Technology is a great way to eliminate paper! Be creative, just don’t give things out! They end up in the trash usually! See us if you need help!
COMMUNITY SERVICE • Thanksgiving Baskets: Due 2 nd week of November • Toy Drive: Due 2 nd week of December • Planning a drive on campus: All drives must be scheduled in Activities office and sponsored by your club • Looking for Student Council Sponsorship? • Application process • Apply online and present at Student Council Meeting.
ICC • Club is represented by Vice President • Networking with other clubs/honor societies • ICC Liasons will be checking in on meetings at random • Votes on Student Council Legislation • If Student Council is at impasse • Student Council Page on School Website • Meets 5 times a year: • 9/16: 1 st per- We will answer ALL questions from this PPT at this meeting. • 10/29: 3 rd per • 1/7: 4 th per, after 1 st lunch • 3/3: 5 th per
GOOGLE ACCOUNT • Every Club has a Google Account • Go to Google, sign in using the login: clubname@mdcpssro. com • If you don’t know your club’s login in name or email, see your sponsor. • Join the ICC Reports Classroom using the Classroom App on google and the code 8 hfg 0 c (most clubs did this last year. • All forms (goal setting form, demographic reports) will be sent through the classroom and your sponsor will get an alert when this happens.
MONTHLY REPORTS GOOGLE ACCOUNT • Open a Google Doc and type: • Agenda • Minutes • Attach sign in Sheet • Shared on club’s Google Account with mpshicc@mdcpssro. com • Typed • Due one week after your meeting • MANDATORY! • NO HARD COPY MONTHLY REPORTS ANYMORE!
GOOGLE CLASSROOM • Know that the following will be assigned through Google Classroom • MARK YOUR CALENDARS • With September Monthly report: Goal Setting form and Demographic Report • With October Monthly report: Membership roster (including name, grade, ID number). • With February Monthly Report: Mid-Year Evaluation, Updated membership roster and Demographic Report. • With May Monthly Report: End of Year Evaluation and Final Demographic Report
CONSTITUTIONS • Must be up to date! • All constitutions must be submitted to Mrs. Valero through Google Classroom assignment by end of September. • Remember: • Only way to amend is through club vote. • All Constitutional changes must be reflected in minutes of meeting where vote was held. • Making large changes to constitution or adopting a completely new one? • Suggestion: Present changes to members, give them one month to read and decide. Vote at following meeting.
CONSTITUTION • Follow Roberts Rule of Order to ensure your organization is abiding by the rules and any decision cannot be called into question. • Need some help? Ask Student council to send a Parliamentarian to your next meeting for vote.

PROWL LIP SYNC • Pick a GREAT song(s), and add some 8 bit music to it! Remember to include Panther Spirit in your performance. • Classes compete against each other, clubs/honor societies as well. • Pay attention to rules sheet. • Sign up sheet and rules will be sent through Google Classroom. • Most Spirited Class in attendance will get recognized.
