Purchasing Process • Purchases above $5000 must be submitted to Purchasing for processing • Purchase below $5000 are handled by the individual departments (except for carpet and window blinds) • Items that are on state contract must be purchased from contract vendors unless the same item can be found for a lower price • Cost savings must be documented on payments 12
