Viking Mission To provide the student-athlete with the opportunity to learn the valuable lessons inherent in athletics: Commitment, Citizenship, Accountability, Sportsmanship
Program Goals • Provide an atmosphere that is conducive to developing athletic skills, enhancing the learning process and building friendships • Allow the players to cultivate the values intrinsic in football: self discipline, physical toughness, a strong work ethic and perseverance • Promote an environment that encourages sportsmanship, respect for teammates and self improvement • Field competitive teams in all three levels

Player Code of Conduct • • • • Walk Thru – You are to be dressed in compression shirt, team color shorts (red, black, gray), and cleats. If you are late for walk thru you will be suspended for that night’s game 1 st Half, no excuses. You should have sandwich, protein bar, fruit etc. as a snack for after walk thru and prior to game. Get taped prior to our Walk Thru. Meeting Tardiness- If you are late for a meeting, you will run 100 yard sprint for every minute you are late. You should be in your seat at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Helmets on the field –While on the field and on the sideline your helmet should always be on unless you have gotten permission from your coach. Water bottles – Water bottles should never be left on the field outside of its carrier. Up/down penalty will be administered by any coach if water bottles are on the field. Dress code on game day – if you want to wear sleeves under your jersey, make sure the colors are red, white black, or gray. Socks must be white or red. Cleats are white, black or red. Practice Attendance- You are required to be at every practice. You will need a doctors note to excuse you from practice. Three unexcused absences will result in removal from the team. Weight Room (In Season Attendance) – You are required to be at every lift. You will need a doctors note to excuse you from lift. Three unexcused absences will result in removal from the team. No Cutting Practice Jerseys – Practice jerseys are not to be cut. If you have an old jersey that is cut, do not cut any more. Bus Etiquette – You are expected to act like men when we are traveling to an opponent. If you are found to be misbehaving, you will be required to run as many 100 yard sprints as the coaches see fit. Locker Room Etiquette – You are to treat your or away locker room with respect. This is our home and we spend a great amount of time inside our locker room. Trash should be thrown into the can, your pads or cleats should not be outside your lockers ever. You are required to lock up your valuables. You are required to keep your locker area clean. Lost Equipment – If you lose any equipment you will be required to replace it. Belts and Mouthpieces are 1 dollar each. Other Sports – No other sports are allowed when we are in season.

Coaches are professionals; they make judgment decisions based on what they believe to be in the best interest for the team and your son. Concerns NOT appropriate to discuss with coaches 1. 2. 3. 4. Playing Time The following qualities are what we are looking at when evaluating a depth chart and making these difficult and vital decisions. *ATTITUDE – Have successful habits and be positive (in meetings, in locker room, in the weight room, during school, and on the field). No locker room lawyers. *EFFORT – Give your best effort at all times and make your energy contagious *CONSISTENCY – Consistent performer on the field and off the field *TRUST – Develop the trust of the coaching staff by knowing your assignments *PERFORMANCE – We will grade practice and game films based on your performance. You will be evaluated on every play. Make a difference when you are on the field, and we will never have this conversation. NO DISCUSSIONS ABOUT PLAYING TIME WITH PARENTS!
