What is ATED? q What is the Aviation Training and Education Directory (ATED): Q New platform merging the Aviation Training Directory (ATD) and the Aviation Tertiary Education Directory (ATED) Q ATD: Q A global web listing of over 400 government approved training centres and their courses from more than 100 countries. Q ATED: Q NGAP’s listing of aviation-related degree bearing institutions around the world. 2020 -10 -31 17
Why develop an ATED? Q A search engine used by aviation professionals from 191 Member States seeking specialized technical/management training or education. Q Tool for NGAP and CGAP interested in pursuing training. Q Facilitate career development to NGAP and professionals (CGAP). Q Build an online community of training organizations and trainees. 2020 -10 -31 18
Other Functionalities for NGAP/CGAP q. Creating personal accounts for users: QFavourite courses and training centres; QUpload personal information, experience (CV) and fields of interest; QSign up for a newsletter to receive offers on courses; QCalendar and Wish list functionality to track courses and sessions offered by training providers.
Timeline 2017 q Q Q January: Platform Development and Content Integration Finalize platform coding and development Coordination with training centres and Universities to provide new content requirements Coordination with current ATD training centres for content integration Populate Platform February: Quality Assurance testing with the TRAINAIR PLUS Members and NGAP universities TRAINAIR PLUS programme profiles Existing ATD member testing March: Launch Public launch Promote through NGAP and non-NGAP Universities
