Promotion to Senior Status 17 credits are required to be considered a senior 23 specific credits are required for graduation. Credits must be earned by the start of the new school year Do not fail any courses – but if you do they should be made up during afterschool credit recovery or during summer credit recovery opportunities.

Dual Enrollment Requirements: How to Apply 1. Contact the admissions office of the DE college to which you are applying and Inquire about their admission requirements 2. Take the SAT/ACT; the score needs to meet the requirements of your DE college in which you are applying 3. Complete the college DE application by the deadline 4. Complete the DE participation agreement application online by going to www. GAfutures. org (each semester enrolled in DE) and provide a signed copy to your high school counselor 5. When you receive your DE acceptance letter from your DE college, schedule an appointment to meet with your grade level counselor/college advisor to select your courses 6. You must provide your own transportation to your DE college The requirements listed above must be met prior to April 1.

Students seeking to enroll full time in the DE program will have the opportunity to enroll in their zoned high school - otherwise MOWR courses must be able to fit into your school day schedule without removing your fine arts courses 3. Participating in the summer DE program is suggested for freshman, sophomores, and juniors who are interested in the MOWR/DE opportunities. 4. All grades earned in the college DE program are included in your overall high school GPA

Classes that were not approved by your high school counselor can result in a delay of enrolling in the DE program/possible financial debt obligation owed to the DE college by the student

State Fine Arts Diploma Seal Requirements A fine arts pathway which consists of a minimum of successfully completing three courses in one fine arts area (dance, music, theatre, and visual arts). Pathway completion denotes mastery in one art form. Complete a fourth fine arts course; and being involved in two fine arts related extracurricular activities OR having earned one credit in a CTAE course that provides a creative industry skill focus such as Journalism, Oral/Written Communication, or Economics/Business/Free Enterprise.

Auditioning for a Fine Arts Minor �Students can audition for a fine arts minor in the spring of their sophomore year. �Once accepted for a minor, the minor course sequence will be placed in your schedule for both the 11 th and 12 th grade school years- if space is available in your final schedule and in the course. �Academic requirements will be expected for both the major and minor courses. (Grades of “B” or higher, 2. 6 semester GPA. )
