Typical Zoom Schedule § Each day, when we log on to Zoom, this is our schedule: § Say hello! § Mini game (like “Guess that song” or a quick scavenger hunt). § Review of yesterday’s lesson and assignments, especially where to find them. § Questions and Answers about classwork. § Introduction of where to find today’s lessons. § Mini lesson for today’s work. § If we have time, take a few minutes to begin the day’s asynchronous work. § Answer student questions. § Say goodbye.

Asynchronous Tasks (Independent Work at Home Outside of Zoom) Microsoft Teams. All of our assignments and tests and even the Zoom link can be found on Teams! Students should check every class on Teams EVERY DAY! Every assignment will have instructions (usually a Power. Point with all of the directions and helpful information) attached. New Assignments are posted Sunday nights/Monday mornings. I try to only give kids a few days’ worth of work at a time, so I often post assignments again on Wednesdays/Thursdays. Expect about 20 -30 minutes of asynchronous work for my class each day. Students have a week to complete each assignment, and usually a whole week to complete a test/quiz as well!

How can I get my grade up? The BEST way for students to improve their grade is to begin completing their assignments on time. Click on the Power. Point for each assignment, read directions, and follow the directions. Come to Zoom meetings and be ON TIME! Students who are late miss so much. Come to Zoom, pay attention, and ask questions! Remember, we can also meet during office hours for extra help! READ! Read 30 minutes every school day on EPIC (www. getepic. com, class code: qse 1554). Or, read anything you want at home and email me the book title and page numbers you read that day.
