Significant Safety Achievements- 6/17 • A total of 13 Work Activities were renewed/approved in June. Many involved EHS collaboration and lab visits. Two new Work Activities were generated: – Grid. Lab – Hydrofluoric Acid Use (62 -350) • ETA Safety Alerts issued in June include: – – – • Cord and Plug Energy Control QEW Support Activity Manager “On the Job Training” Tracking Feature Activity Manager “Off-Site Work Location” Feature Dust Mask Safety Requirements Hydrofluoric Acid Safety Submitted LBNL “Lessons Learned” for the following incidents (pending EHS release): – B 70 Office Shelf Collapse – B 70 Abandoned Chemical Storage Area – B 70 Hood Valve Misidentification • • A batch of old chemicals from B 70 lab areas was sent out for disposal A number of ovens in B 62 and B 70 had electrical inspections completed.

Short Term Safety Outlook 7/17 • Continue Level 2 and Level 3 Work Activities renewals. We have another bunch going through EHS collaboration. • Complete the telecommuter ergonomic assessments. There are 50 ETA workers that need to be evaluated. • Assist with the new glove box installation in 70 -226. • Complete EEIP electrical equipment inspections of non-NRTL ovens in B 62 and B 70. • Complete installation of seismic restraints of ovens in ETA lab areas. • Assist Cyclotron Road with set-up of new lab area in B 62 -108. • Perform the quarterly inspections of ETA hazardous waste Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA’s) • Assist with ALD safety walkthroughs of ETA technical areas.
