All CREATIVE WRITING & Do you love reading? Do you love discussing a students BOOK CLUB good book with others? Or perhaps you just want to try and read more? All ACADEMY RADIO Have you ever listened to radio presenters and students (Limited to 6 students) thought you could do better? Do you have an interest in music you would like to share with the Academy? Well now is your chance. This enrichment gives you the opportunity to record and broadcast your shows, with your own unique features and music tastes. With access to industry technology and software, come and be the host on the Academy radio station. High Expectations lead to High Achievers

All students FILM CLUB (Limited to 20 students) At the Academy's Film Club, we will be watching and discussing a range of films which will include both classics and new releases. If you have a budding interest in film theory and want a fun and friendly Wednesday afternoon where you can discover and review films from throughout history whilst enjoying a sweet treat here and there then come and join! All year groups are welcome! High Expectations lead to High Achievers

All students ARTS & CRAFT (Limited to 20 students) As a group we will be using our creative talents to make the most amazing items out of the most ordinary objects. Have you ever made a collage, a model town, a salt dough angel or paper mâché creatures? This will be a great opportunity for you to come and enjoy yourself, meet new friends, and design and make wonderful things. The activities will be fun, there will be lots of laughter and you will definitely get your hands dirty! High Expectations lead to High Achievers

KS 3 HOME COOKING This is an opportunity to learn cooking skills (Limited to 16 which will give you enjoyment and a sense of achievement. KS 3 St. Aldhelm’s ‘Bake Off’ Learn to bake and compete with your classmates to win the monthly ‘Bake Off’ Semi (Limited to 16 Final Crown. students) Maybe you could be the Ultimate ‘Bake Off’ Winner at the end of the Enrichment. High Expectations lead to High Achievers

KS 3 SCIENCE CLUB Over the next term we will be carrying out a variety of experiments across all areas of (Limited to 20 science. These will be things you wouldn't normally get to do in lessons. All students SHOW TIME (Limited to 50 students) This time we will be working on the Wizard of Oz! It you missed the auditions, but would love a smaller part where you could dance, act or sing then sign up now!!! This Show time will be so much fun, come along, be brave and sign up now!! St. Aldhelm’s KS 3 & KS 4 GIRLS FOOTBALL Girls only football session. If you would like (Limited to 25 to be involved in the girls school football team, then come to this enrichment where Students) you will be doing training to improve your football skills and get the chance to play some matches too. . BOYS FOOTBALL KS 3 BOYS FOOTBALL This is an option for any KS 3 boy who would (Limited to 40 like to develop their footballing skills further. All students RACKETS CLUB (Limited to 12 students) Rackets clubs is a great way to develop your skill levels within a variety of racket based sports. You will have the opportunity to learn new techniques within badminton, table tennis, tennis and short tennis and apply these skills to competitive match situations. All students INVASION GAMES If you enjoy learning new skills and playing in team sports, this might be the enrichment choice for you!! We will cover sports such as • Y Ball, • handball, • dodgeball, • ultimate Frisbee • Danish long ball. You must be willing to try new sports and work hard to improve your ability in a range of activities High Expectations lead to High Achievers

All students TRAMPOLINNING Bouncy… Bouncy …Jumpy… Jumpy 20 Students Would you like to learn how to soar through the sky doing back flips and somersaults and get fit at the same time? Then this enrichment is for you! High Expectations lead to High Achievers

KS 3 HEALTHY & BEAUTY This option is open to KS 3 students from those just interested in basic makeup/hair and a KS 3 only healthy lifestyle up to those possibly interested (Limited to 20 in Holistic Therapy as a career. This is an students) opportunity for students to learn all aspects of a healthy lifestyle including relaxation, destressing, skincare, making products, makeup application/hair care. All students FRENCH CULTURE In this activity we will be exploring French culture, (Limited to 16 including film, festivals, art and music and of students) course French food! You will have the opportunity to taste regional specialities and learn more about our closest neighbour. We will be going go to local cafes to taste all sorts of food and maybe a trip to France will be possible. If you ever wanted to eat snails—this is the activity for you! KS 3 HORRIBLE HISTORY Inspired by the Horrible Histories show this enrichment club will give you the chance to (Limited to 30 research the gruesome and gory parts of history students) you don't get to cover in class. Watch your favorite clips from the show and then create your own project on the most disgusting parts of history. High Expectations lead to High Achievers

NERD CLUB KS 3 NERD CLUB If you've got an interest in all things DC/Marvel/comic book/film related then this is the club for you. What better way to spend a Wednesday afternoon than arguing over who would win in a fight between Batman or Superman. We'll have comic books and may just work through Marvel's back catalogue of films High Expectations lead to High Achievers

DRESS MAKING & CROSS STITCH KS 3 & 4 Dress Learn how to cut out patterns and make a bag or shirt; learn Making & to sew cross-stitch designs, crochet or knit Cross Stitch High Expectations lead to High Achievers

KS 3 & 4 War Hammer – Games Workshop A new challenge for those who have completed the Citadel Crusaders! Build, paint and play games with an army following the guidelines for the School Alliance! If your school has a Warhammer Club, you can even take compete in competitions against other schools! High Expectations lead to High Achievers

Wood Craft Modelling KS 3 & 4 Wood Craft Woodcrafting will involve working with wood but on a very small scale. Using not much more than lollipop sticks and matchsticks you can build all kinds of everyday objects, but in miniature. Common things to build are horsecarts and wagons, trinket boxes and toy furniture. No experience of woodworking is needed, but patience and the ability to follow a plan will be needed. KS 3 & 4 Gardening We want to create a garden for everyone to enjoy, an outdoor classroom. Cook the things we grow in food Club lessons or take it home to share. We’ll work as a team; learn about wild life and our environment. Winter (non garden day) activity would be craft based and planning our garden for the year ahead.
