Summary For Media 2 (Marketing) we were given three options to do an advert

Summary For Media 2 (Marketing) we were given three options to do an advert on, a café, a charity or Bellerby’s enrichment program. I chose to do my advert on Bellerby’s enrichment program as I feel that it would be easy for me to get the information needed and it is relatable as I am a Bellerby’s student. We have to make an advert, promoting the school’s Enrichment program in an attempt to raise awareness for the Enrichment classes and increase the amount of Foundation Pathway students taking part in the enrichment.

How it connects with our target audience The reason as to why I chose

How it connects with our target audience The reason as to why I chose to do my advert on Mindfulness is because I feel like college students are under a lot of stress, therefore, having a class where they can meditate and learn ways to relieve themselves of stress is very important. Also, it is exam week in Bellerby’s so the timing is perfect to start advertising for enrichment classes such as Mindfulness.

Explanation This ad will be put up two weeks before exam week begins. Prints will be put up in the elevator, bathroom stalls, and hallways as these are the areas where students are most likely to spend time at/in. The reason as to why it will only be put up two weeks before exam week is because that’s when teachers start pounding students for deadlines and to start revising. Leaving them stressed and under pressure. Making it the perfect time to advertise the Mindfulness classes.

Multi-Platform and Below the Line Multi-platform • Social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter or Facebook will be used to spread awareness for the Mindfulness advert as students spend a lot of time online and on social media. Below the Line • Pamphlets will be handed out to students, prints will be posted everywhere around school to make it more personal. Things such as samples of essential oil, hairbands, and more small products can also be handed out along with the pamphlets to students around school to increase their curiosity and buy their hearts.
