THE ALOE VERA PROCESS • The aloe vera is cultivated during 4 years. Then it is carefully collected. • Each leaf is brushed and submitted to water-pressure to be clean and disinfected.

THE ALOE VERA PROCESS • All leafs are cut from the top and from the base. (The leaf debris resulting from this process is then used to fertilize the soil of the plantations). • The machine itself grinds the resulting pulp juice in raw state. The juice has not yet been filtered, and is sent to a tank through a coil which lowers its temperature. • In yet unfiltered juice the preservatives which avoid oxidation are added. Then the enzymes that collaborate to efficiently perform the filtrate of Aloe Vera are added. • The Aloe Vera juice obtained in the previous phase is filtered, getting a suitable texture for its use.

THE ALOE VERA PROCESS • Cold stabilization of Aloe Vera juice. At this stage the latter part of preservatives and antioxidants are added and stirred in a tank. • The Quality Control: two small samples of Aloe juice are taken, one we use for p. H and density controls, the other is sent to an external laboratory, where extensive microbiological controls are made.

WHY CANARIAN ALOE VERA? • The vast majority of brands of Aloe Vera on the market, and paradoxically also in the Canarian market, use Aloe Vera of Mexican or North American origin. This does not have anything bad, if it was not for this Aloe Vera goes through a transformation process that reduces it to a concentrated powder (Liophilization process). That powder is much easier (and cheaper) to transport, but with less capacity to retain the aloe vera properties. • Canarian Aloe Vera does not go through a Liophilization process (transformation process that reduces it to a concentrated powder) like most of the Aloe Vera coming from other parts of the world. • By keeping it in fresh juice the Aloe Vera keeps much better its natural properties. • The plantation uses a system of ecological cultivation, it means that no plot undergoes chemical treatment, nor pesticides or artificial fertilizers are used.
