PSAT/NMSQT – what is it? • PRELIMINARY SAT / NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFYING TEST

PSAT/NMSQT – what is it? • PRELIMINARY SAT / NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFYING TEST (11 TH GRADERS) • MEASURES: Critical Reading, Math Problem Solving, and Writing skills. • PSAT/NMSQT scores are reported on a scale of 20 to 80. In 2009, The average score for 10 TH graders was 42 in Critical Reading, 43 in Mathematics, and 41 in Writing Skills. Dual Enrollment @ FIU Through our partnership with FIU - this is an opportunity for students to earn high school credits and college credits simultaneously. Grades will become part of permanent high school AND college transcripts. STUDENTS WHO EARN A “C OR LOWER” IN ANY ONE DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTIUE PARTICIPATING IN THE DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM.
