Dear Parents, Welcome to the world of Pre. K! Your child will be starting school in August and we want you and them to be prepared! Here are some ways you can begin helping your child prepare: • Putting their shoes on their own feet independently (tying is not mandatory but slip-ons or Velcro are greatly appreciated. ) • Going to the bathroom independently (taking care of their own bathroom needs). This includes fastening buttons, snaps, or zippers. If your child cannot complete these tasks independently please practice with your child or make accommodations (like Velcro shoes or elastic waist pants). Your child will also need a full size clear backpack that will hold their school folder as well as other Pre. K projects. We know that you want to dress your children in cute fashionable clothing, but our day is spent running, digging, playing outside and inside, as well as doing some very messy projects. Please dress your child in functional clothing including footwear that they can run and play in. Thank you, Mrs. Selzer

Dear Parents, Pre. K students need a clear backpack. With a clear backpack parents and teachers can see if there any extras in the backpack before Leaving home or school. I have found backpacks for $12. 99 on Amazon Prime with reinforced straps with 11 different strap color options. Please send these things to school. . . • Complete change of clothes – underwear, socks, shirt, and pants in a large labeled zip top bag • Small beach towel that can be rolled to fit in the cubby under their locker. • Full Size Clear Backpack – to carry papers to and from school.
