What is PPMS? Project Progress Monitoring System (PPMS) is a web-based GIS-MIS application, which helps in monitoring the development progress of all types of project – major, medium and minor. It is a pioneering initiative of the Water Resources Department, Govt. of Jharkhand. Grievance is also addressed. • All Court Cases and Legal data in a database with option of alerts • Court cases can be tracked on a regular basis and appearance dates intimated in advance, which helps in speedy resolution of disputes. • Information about profile, financial strength, past projects and ongoing projects of various agencies will be captured • Helps in ascertaining the technical and financial expertise of the agencies and the bid capacity preventing quality issues and delay in work • Overall, PPMS will lead to project implementation without significant cost and time overrun by enabling rigorous and regular monitoring of projects and enhanced coordination within the Department Water Resources Department, Govt. of Jharkhand 21
