Women of Woodside Kick Off September 2020 Virtual Meeting
Welcome to the W. O. W. Virtual Kick Off The Coronavirus has been a challenge, making us create different ways to be social and remain active. In response, we are not able to have our annual in-person Kick Off meeting. In prior years, you were able to personally meet with the various committee chairs to learn about the organization and activities. In place of our regular meeting we have created a virtual tour that will introduce you to both our social and fundraising activities. Many activities are currently on “hold” due to the pandemic. However, for planning purposes, it’s important for you to indicate your interest in future events. REMEMBER: Participation is limited to active members. Please be sure your dues are current for the July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 membership year. Thank you for viewing the presentation. After doing so, please follow the link and complete the Sign Up Form to help us plan future events.

Many individuals find themselves in the position of being a caregiver for loved ones. While the devotion of providing such support is genuine, the toll on caregivers is real. The “We Are One” group offers support to caregivers from others who can relate to the stresses encountered. The monthly lunch meetings are cancelled until further notice, due to Covid 19. If you are not currently involved, but are interested in learning more, please sign up to receive communications. We encourage you to also participate in the separate W. O. W. fundraising event on October 17 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association ‘Walk to END Alzheimer’s’. Groups on “Hold” Due to Covid 19, the following groups are not active and do not have a chairperson. We want to identify interest for these activities, should circumstances allow them to resume in 2021. Please sign up if you are interested, should these groups resume. There is also a separate question to identify volunteers to chair these activities: Out to Lunch Bunch – Meets monthly at various local venues for lunch outings with friends. This may or may not include a tour or special site visit. Progressive Dinner – Organized dinner progresses to different homes throughout the evening for each dinner course. This is different from the “Dinner with Friends” group that remains at one home for an entire evening, but rotates to different homes and individuals for subsequent dinners. The progressive dinner is usually a once a year event.
