ERP ROLLOUT � PM Module: Plant Maintenance Module This module deals with the Management & Maintenance of various Network elements. Network Elements include: 1. CM (Consumer Mobility Equipments) Including BTS, BSC, MSC , Battery, Power Plant, EA etc. 2. CFA & BB Equipments including Battery , Power Plant , MDF, Switches, Pillar, UG Cable, DSLAM, OCLAN etc.

PM Master Data 1. Functional Location: Place where PM equipments are installed. functional location represents the place at which a maintenance task is to be performed and where the group of equipments are located or installed. A functional location exists for a long duration and usually it is not dismantled like equipments. Bigger fixed technical objects can be represented as functional locations, e. g. , Server Room, Production lines, Switches, Networks etc.
PM Master Data 2. Equipment: Technical Object over which maintenance activities are carried out. A piece of equipment is an individual, physical object, which is to be maintained independently. Equipment can be installed in a functional location. 3. EBOM: Equipment Bill of Material is a component part of equipment like Power Card, control card where maintenance is required.
PM Master Data 4. 5. Work Centre: Work Centre is the entity, where/or by whom maintenance work will be carried out. For example a Group of persons/ person/department /machines can be defined as Work Centre that is responsible to plan, allocate and execute maintenance activities. Planner Group: Planner Group is the division/ department that is responsible to plan and allocate maintenance activities.

Technical object where problem occurred , damage/ defect, cause of defect and task performed to rectify the defect. Task List: Set of operations/individual activities performed to rectify the fault , to standardize the work. Measuring Point: To measure the condition of Technical object for recording and to take the Corrective action, if required.

PM Module Significance Ø For better Maintenance Planning. Ø For getting maintenance history of an Equipment. Ø For getting cost incurred in maintenance on equipment. Ø For facilitating better decision making.

To the End Users , Power users for using the system after implementation. (Train the Power & End users for using the system for various PM business processes )
Rollout Phase ( ROP ) Activities – contd. � Data collection in PM Module : Collection 1. organization PMof data for finalizing Functional Location (Details of SDCA / Exchanges/ other Buildings/ Offices / NBSNL Sites / IP Sites / USO sites in SSA)- For this SSA wise PM Organization data templates shall be released.

After finalization of PM Organization data of all SSAs in circle , other PM master data templates SSA wise , shall be released. These templates will contain above mentioned finalized PM Organization data to be used in these templates. These template will also have inbuilt formulae & dropdown to facilitate data filling by field units. 3. Left out data entry / correction if any.

CFA-SWITCH, BTY&PP; CFA-BBN; CFA-MDF; CFA-Pillar; CFA-UG cable; CFA- Duct; TXI; TXO; LLC; DSPT; IT; CM-GSM; CM-CDMA; CM-Wi. MAX; ELEC -SSA; ELEC-Wing; FLEET (templates applicable for Circle Office/Any other unit) 3. PM Roles & Authorization Template (1 per SSA/CO )
Rollout Phase ( ROP ) Activities – contd. � Effort required - As there is large & voluminous data in PM Module, therefore it requires lot of efforts both at SSA/ Circle level and concerned data validation team. - Data is received after lots of Pursuance. • Difficulties faced in data collection: 1. Persons trained in data workshop / training are actually not involved in implementation / Data collection activities at SSA/Circle Level.

Itfield the units that in various dropdowns, formats & formulae available in the templates get disturbed resulting into losing uniqueness & standard structure, causing problems in validation.

Selection of PM SPOCs - Executives working in Maintenance department should be made as PM SPOCs at L 1 & L 2 Level for smooth Data collection. It is also suggested that persons may be deputed exclusively for data activity at SSA & Circle Level. Data workshop may be scheduled before starting the collection of data. For getting better reports, it must be ensured to provide pure/correct and complete data.

Sample PM Master data templates of MH circle may be forwarded to the planned Rollout Units so that they can start preparatory work and be ready with the complete data as per requirement in the template as it is observed that the field units takes lot of time, after several reminders to provide the data.
