USING KSWAN SERVICES - HOW ? - DO’S AND DO NOT’S

Getting Ready to use KSWAN �Departments need to provide KSWAN User name and user-id to avail KSWAN services �Departments need to register GBC users �Username and Password should be given by the department for Dial-up connection

What is expected from Departments � Nominate a technical representative for coordination with Helpdesk for getting connected to KSWAN. � Provide proper UPS power to all KSWAN equipments. Karnataka State Wide Area Network

Do’s Ø Provide UPS power to run the equipment. Ø Keep the equipments (Router/Switch/LANExtender/Radios/IP Phones) switched on 24 x 7. Ø Ensure Security of the devices. Ø Contact Helpdesk team for any technical guidance. Ø Place request to Helpdesk for relocating the equipment. Karnataka State Wide Area Network

Do NOT Ø Switch off equipments. Ø Operate equipments without UPS Power. Ø Troubleshooting without proper guidance from Helpdesk Team. Ø Remove power plug or Data Cable. Ø Move the equipment from installed locations. Karnataka State Wide Area Network
