PROVIDER: STAFFING & RESOURCE Employer Engagement Officer (FT) GMCVO Working Potential (central) OUTREACH ACTIVITIES BROKERING WORK OPTIONS • Create and develop relationships with new employers and those secured from links with Talent Match to complement relationships established by providers • Support employers to offer valuable preemployment opportunities, such as coffee and chats and WOW visits etc. • Run events/ workshops for employers with provider support to promote age and carer-friendly working environments and support providers where required with their events and workshops • Encourage employers to share best practice via social media and events with provider support • Regular updates, case studies on successes and events • Support Providers to identify organisations within sectors that best fit the carers’ needs through LMI research • Provide both online and practical resources for employers to understand how they can get involved (Website, social media and workshops) RESEARCH FEEDBACK LOOP SUPPORTING RETENTION • Support employers to look at their recruitment and working practices to make them more age -friendly • Support providers with creation of toolkit and model of age-friendly employment • Research with employers to investigate financially viable means of supporting carers into employment • Research with employers and carers which practices work best for carer & agefriendly recruitment and retention. Share findings with support from Providers. • Case studies of successes EMPLOYERS Working Potential Delivery Model POSSIBLE DESTINATIONS • Share and celebrate successes and learning at events and via social media using case studies • Creation of network of employers supporting carers, who can potentially share best practice with SME’s • More employers in Salford, Bolton and Wigan recognised as Carer & Agefriendly • Report on key learning with respect to Employer Engagement
