Campus Tutoring Schedule Daily From 8: 15 am to 8: 45 am
ü In accordance with state mandate, Face masks are now optional ü The front desk personnel will continue to check-in all visitors through security Hall Pass system • Hall Pass COVID-19 safety checks will continue ü Hand Sanitizing Stations • Entrance/Exits, Classrooms/offices • Disinfecting solution spray and paper towels in every classroom ü Stairwells will continue to be marked to promote separation, social distancing, and directional flow
ü E-Swipe will only be required if a wellness indicator is present ü Temperature checks are now optional for students and staff ü Stairwells will continue to be marked to promote separation, social distancing, and directional flow ü PPE will be available through the 2021 -2022 school year • Available disposable masks, face shields, gloves, and desk dividers upon request. N 95 masks will also be available in extenuating circumstances ü A/B schedule to minimize student movement
ü Restrooms will be disinfected after every transition ü The nurse will monitor the E-Swipe Dashboard regularly and will continue to contact trace and quarantine when necessary • The nurse's station is equipped with an isolation room ü Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all students • Physical distancing will be encouraged when possible • Additional tables and chairs were purchased for student use • Three different lunches: • A lunch (closed campus)– 9 th grade • B lunch (closed campus)– 10 th grade • C lunch (open campus)– 11 th and 12 th grade only
ü In-person learning five days a week and teachers will no longer support both face-to-face and virtual students simultaneously ü All sports and extra-curricular activities will resume this school year ü BINAX rapid testing will be available for students traveling out of town ü Custodial staff will clean and disinfect rooms and high trafficked areas every evening and will use the electrostatic disinfecting sprayer every Friday night
School Bus Transportation Protocols: ü All students riding the bus must wear a student ID ü Students will be physically distanced as space permits ü Buses will be sanitized daily before picking up and after dropping off students. Front and back windows will remain open to improve circulation ü Hand sanitizer will be available ü Every Friday, buses will be sanitized with electrostatic sprayer

Attendance and Tardies How do I report an absence? • Parent or guardian has forty-eight (48) hours to notify the attendance office in writing as to the reason(s) for absence(s). Phone call notifications are not accepted. • A doctor's note is required in cases where student was absent more than three days. Loss of Credit: • 4 or more absences (excused or unexcused) per semester per class will give a student LOC • Any student who lost credit will be notified at the end of the semester and a Loss of credit contract will be given. • Loss of credit contract hours must be completed within 30 days for a student to regain credit
Truancy: Parents and students must be in compliance with the Texas Education Code Chapter 25: School Attendance Laws. When a student fails to attend school without excuse for 5 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school year, the school may file court charges in accordance with Texas Code Chapter 25. It is important that your child's absences be excused.
Testing STAAR End of Course Exams needed for Graduation - December, April and May • 9 th Grade - English I, Algebra I and Biology • 10 th Grade – English II • 11 th Grade – US History PSAT and SAT – to prep for Post Secondary Readiness - October and March, respectively * Advanced Academics night will be announced for all students enrolled in Dual Credit or AP Classes

ID’s and Safety Student ID’s • Must be worn at ALL times • Can be purchased during registration for $5. 00 or at the business office if lost. • Student may receive disciplinary action for no ID. • Temporary ID's must be purchased for $1. 00 from the Assistant Principal's office every day the student does not have their ID Visitors to the campus: • Present valid ID • Come in through designated entrance • Escorted to their destination • Wear Visitor’s badge at shoulder level • Return badge to designated entrance
DNA - Digital Nurturing Academy (laptops) • One to one laptop initiative • $25 per year (pd at registration) • Laptops will be distributed during the first week of school • Fees to repair or replace
Electronic Devices • Teachers reserve the right to allow cell phones for instructional purposes; however, the campus policy prohibits the use of cell phones or smart watches in class. • Each time that a telecommunications device is confiscated from a student, the parent may pick up the confiscated telecommunications device for a fee of $15. 00 from the Assistant Principal’s office. (SISD Student Handbook and Code of Conduct, p. 28) • Telecommunication devices will only be held for a 30 -day period. After time has expired, the district will dispose of the device.
