Lord our God, reveal among us the light of your presence, All that we may see your power and glory.

O Lord, open our lips, All and our mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Blessed are you, Sovereign Lord, our light and our salvation: All to you be praise and glory for ever.

The night has passed, and the day lies open before us; let us pray with one heart and mind.

All As we rejoice in the gift of this new day, so may the light of your presence, O God, set our hearts on fire with love for you; now and for ever. Amen.

PSALM Psalm 103 part 1 (Good News Version)

Praise the LORD, my soul! All my being, praise his holy name! 2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is.

3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy.

5 He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle. 6 The LORD judges in favour of the oppressed and gives them their rights.

7 He revealed his plans to Moses and let the people of Israel see his mighty deeds. 8 The LORD is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love.

9 He does not keep on rebuking; he is not angry forever. 10 He does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs.

11 As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who honour him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our sins from us.

13 As a father is kind to his children, so the LORD is kind to those who honour him.

14 He knows what we are made of; he remembers that we are dust.

Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.

Merciful Lord, as we come from dust and return to dust, show us the face of our Redeemer, that in our frailty we may bless your name and praise you all our days; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

2 The LORD says, “Bethlehem Ephrathah, you might not be an important town in the nation of Judah. But of you will come for me a ruler over Israel. His family line goes back to the early years of your nation. It goes all the way back to days of long ago. ” 3 The LORD will hand over his people to their enemies. Now, it is time to awake out of sleep, All Now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent and the day is at hand; All therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit: All Now, it is time to awake out of sleep; now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

That with all the faithful departed, we may receive a share in Christ’s victory over evil and death.

All Almighty God, purify our hearts and minds, that when your Son Jesus Christ comes again as judge and saviour, we may be ready to receive him, who is Lord and our God. We pray you through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER Awaiting his coming in glory, as our Saviour taught us, so we pray with confidence:
