Morning Prayer v We gather as one … … … v Let us join our hands and make the sign of the cross … … … v ‘ In the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen’

February: the month of the Holy Family This week we will begin our six week journey of Lent when we gather as a school community to celebrate Ash Wednesday. Our special intention this week is to ask for God’s guidance as we start our journey of Lent. We ask for God’s help as we commence our period of sacrifice and reflection. We ask that God will help and guide as we decide what to do to consider the needs of others more than those of our own. The gospel readings on Sunday reminded us that Jesus calls us to be peaceful and considerate of others. Jesus challenges us to be mindful of the affect of our actions upon the well being of those around us and those who are part of our community whether that is in school, at home, locally or in our world. Mission Monday? This week our challenge is to consider how we might be an example of peace, kindness and love for and to each other. How will we make this period of Lent meaningful and sincere?

We Reflect Together : Monday During this school week we pray for all our intentions. We pray that we will be happy at our work and that we may work together to foster a joyful and caring community…… In Sunday’s Gospel Jesus told us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. If we do this we will be children of God. As we reflect on these words, we pray for the grace to make our peace with all and to answer the Lord’s call to love Him and love our neighbour……… Lord hear us ….
