Application method Pipework is thoroughly abraded and degreased prior to mixing of Belzona® metal repair system which is applied utilising the Belzona® 9341 (Reinforcement Tape) as a repair bandage. The material is then left to cure to effect the repair. Outcome / Benefits The repair maintains the equipment in service and helps to keeps the fish as fresh as possible until the vessel can return to the dockside for refit.

1000 Series 2000 Series 3000 Series 4000 Series 5000 Series HYDRAULIC PIPE REPAIRS Belzona® materials used Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) & Belzona® 1221 (Super E-Metal) Problem Ageing hydraulic pipe work, leaking hydraulic fluid. Application method The hydraulic line is firstly shutdown to reduce the pressure. The rubber casing is then cut away to expose the steel braiding. The area around the repair is cleaned and degreased and the Belzona® 1221 (Super E-Metal) is then mixed and applied incorporating the Belzona® 9341 (Reinforcement Tape). This is then spiralled up and down the pipework to effect a repair. The material is then left to cure. Outcome / Benefits This is a rapid repair done in-situ no loss of revenue is experienced due to fish being unable to be brought up and minimal loss of fishing time is experienced.

Application method The surface is firstly prepared by roughening and once the Belzona® 1221 (Super EMetal) is mixed, it is applied to the surface and held into position whilst curing to prevent the stem of flow of the leaking diesel. Outcome / Benefits The potential fire hazard was immediately prevented and a massive cost saving over replacement of the tank was realised. This repair was done at sea and enabled the tank to continue in use. Quartz) Application method The deck was prepared by grinding and a new floor section was welded into position prior to overcoating with the Belzona® 4111 (Magma. Quartz) system applied in accordance with standard Working Instructions. Outcome / Benefits This system brings back the integrity of the deck and prevents future similar problems. 10 years on deck is still in perfect condition. Problem The steel deck on this vessel had buckled and cracked due to wear and tear, this was mainly caused by the stress exhorted by the triplex power block mounting. Accelerated due to failure of previous deck screed.
