*Academic Enhancement Period (AEP) What It Is and Why It’s Important! Academic Enhancement Period (A. E. P. ) is a 30 -minute period after 1 st period each day where students are assigned a classroom to attend that is supervised by a teacher/mentor. During this time they have the opportunity to receive tutoring, complete make-up work, see school counselors, study, or use the library or computer lab to enhance your academic performance and school participation. Time is also built in for advisory days where their AEP mentor takes an active role to help guide the students in areas of study skills, post-secondary planning, career planning, and other valuable life skills. It is our goal that students will have the same teacher as

*Requesting Schedule Changes Important Note Regarding Scheduling for 2020 -2021 There will be NO elective changes after April 15 th, 2020 Switching Levels in a Core Class If after school starts in September 2020 a student feels they need to switch levels in a core class then that student may submit an application for level change after the first 2 weeks of school. This includes a form you will get filled out by your teacher and counselor and a letter from the student and signed by the parent explaining the reason for the request. A change is NOT guaranteed. If you change levels in an AP course AFTER the 1 st 9 weeks you may receive a 10 point bump in your grade. But only if you stay the full nine weeks.
