Flip learning & Blooms
Flip learning Outside the Class In the Class • Gain first exposure to new • Class time is set aside to do creative work of material outside of class, assimilating the knowledge usually via reading or through problem-solving, lecture videos discussion, or debates. • Pre class assignments to support thinking and provide guide to current level of understanding • Teacher to act as a facilitator providing instant feedback, go from the “sage on the stage” to “guide on the side”
Flip learning and the i. Pad The enabler
Last thoughts Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important asset
The number one benefit of IT is that it empowers people to do what they want to do. • It lets people be creative. • It lets people be productive. • It lets people learn things they didn't think they could learn before, and so in a sense it is all about potential.
