What does it look like? Self. Assessment Each educator sets two goals for the year, asking the 4 PLC questions, including: 1) Where do my students need to grow this year? and 2) Where do I need to grow to help them get there? These two goals—and the ten standards in the TKES rubric—are the measures against which educators are evaluated. After educators write goals, they develop a plan that outlines the course of action they will take to attain the goals. This action plan serves as an opportunity to determine the time, resources, and specific steps necessary to accomplish each goal. Resources, Follow-up “Helping teams translate long-term purpose into specific, measurable, short-term SMART goals, and then helping members develop the skills to achieve those goals, is one of the most important steps leaders can take in building the capacity of a group to function as a highperforming collaborative team. ” -Katzenbach & Smith, 1993, quoted in Du.
