Food Ordering System Will implement and use the touch screens around campus

Project Goals Existing Problems Long waiting time for food. Walking around the Campus Center to find shorter lines or food items of interest. Trouble finding coordinating with multiple friends. Solutions Shorten waiting time by pre-ordering. Centralize menu system to eliminate wandering. Introduce generic SMS system in order to provide friends with a time and place for meals.

Wi-Fi Connectivity The nutritional information and wait times will be sent through NJIT’s wireless network.

Access NJIT card login Screen when Idle The server will contain your past purchases and will suggest meals based on this as well as your dietary needs. Screen comes up with its own nutritional choices depending on GDS options that day Screen logs out When screen left idle after login, system will kick you out to prevent security risk

Calendar will show food events and clubs that are meeting. You will be able to send message/sign-up that you are attending. See what friends have signed up to attend club/social events.
