UPC successes (Part 1) Ø Delegation Agreement with Wiltshire Council • Transfer of grass cutting and litter-bin emptying to UPC in return for WC commitment to a future CAT of the remainder of the playing field Ø Welcome Booklet • Issued to all households in the Parish Ø Farmer’s Field • Maria & Lewis are working closely with volunteers to upgrade the area. Usage is increasing! Ø Purchase of telephone box • The most recent community asset being managed by Nicky, Maria & Stephanie Ø Redhorn News deal extended • A 2 -year extension agreement to continue providing the magazine free to all households in the parish Ø Public Right of Way • Trevor Hill will update us on the progress made by the Secretary of States Inquiry this week Ø Relocation of Urchfont gateway sign to east of village • To improve visibility from junction with Crooks Lane

UPC successes (Part 2) ØDefibrillator battery replacement plan • With support from the Parish Trust, UPC has now agreed a long-term funding plan for battery replacement on all units ØGDPR legal requirements satisfied • UPC is fully compliant with requirements under this major new legislation Ø 5 -year insurance coverage for all UPC activities and assets • Deal signed with effect from 1 st June 2018 ØNew Precept set • 2% increase for coming year ØCrooks Lane Working Group • Challenge to improve local access infrastructure – with no stipulated financial provision ØInstallation of dropped kerbs in The Croft • Aid for disabled access

How can you help? Keep all areas of your property including gardens as well maintained and tidy as possible, especially if clearly visible from roads / footpaths. Cut back vegetation overhanging public highways and pavements Pick up and responsibly disposing of any litter that you see in the Village or on designated footpaths Do not fly-tip anything in public areas and spaces, including garden waste Remove any items belonging to you from public lay-bys and verges Always pick up after your dog(s), do not leave filled plastic waste bags in hedgerows or on footpaths / verges – responsibly dispose of waste in public litter bins or your household wheelie bin Keep private and public car parking areas tidy and free of litter Help to clear pavements and kerbs / drain covers of any obstruction (e. g. weeds, straw) Remove unwanted / expired notices from notice boards or wherever posted in the Village
