FINANCIAL LITERACY SUCCESS • CFA Society Pittsburgh’s Financial Literacy committee is comprised of 45 member/student volunteers. • As a group we are working with 124 high schools and 16 colleges across our region. • Our primary objective is to help students better prepare for the money choices they all will make. Candidly, many of them already are. • Our second objective is to meaningfully increase awareness of the CFA® designation in the communities where our members live and work. 23
CFA SOCIETY OF PITTSBURGH’S WOMEN IN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT (WIM) INITIATIVE • Mission: Increase awareness of professional opportunities and increase engagement for women in investment management • WIM Initiative driven by CFAI with participation from 38 societies hosting 60 events in 2017 • Pittsburgh initiative will focus on events for university students to educate about the different career paths in investment management and for current professionals to provide networking and ongoing professional development opportunities • Committee will have inaugural meeting in October 2018 – please contact Lisa Brignoni – lisa. brignoni@gmail. com if you’d like to learn more 24
