E-learning § The E-learning program of RILM is called “E-Shiksha”. § This program aims at improving the quality of learning through the use of curriculum-based audiovisual modules in local languages. § The “E-Shiksha” module comes in LCD projector as an integrated product where the software or the module is already uploaded. Adult Literacy The Adult Literacy program seeks to: § Educate non-literates above the age of 15 years in urban and rural areas. § Impart skill development training to adult neoliterates leveraging available government assistance. Prepared by: RILM Dated: 23. 06. 2016

Adult Literacy The program is implemented through: § Rotary India Global Dream: A campaign, where a school student can teach an adult non-literate by using specially developed primers. § Literacy Centre: Rotary/ IW Clubs can set up an Adult Literacy Centre (ALC) at a centralised locality in both urban and rural areas. Child Development § The Child Development program of RILM is to bring/send out of school children back to schools. § The objective is to facilitate these children’s access to mainstream state funded primary/ elementary schools. Government Liaison forged • HRD Ministry, Government of India - RILM has sought co -operation with the HRD Ministry to educate 200, 000 adults every year, for the next 5 years. • Govt of Gujarat – Partnering up with the State Government of Gujarat, RILM is providing state board mapped ELearning software to 24, 000 state run schools, where the hardware has already been provided by the Government. • Govt of Maharashtra – RILM in partnership with the State Government of Maharashtra will be providing E-Learning facilities to 18510 state board school. Partnerships forged • Aircel - Rotary India Literacy Mission partners with Aircel’s “Support My School” Campaign to make 50 Happy Schools in Chennai, Coimbatore and Pondicherry. • CREDAI – In Bangalore Credai is sponsoring 22 Happy Schools in District 3190, out of which the 10 schools have been completed. • SBI - Partnering up with Rotary Club of Bangalore SBI is providing funds for 18 Happy Schools, of which 8 are completed. Partnerships forged • SBI Foundation – Partnering with RILM SBI will be providing funds for 1000 E-Learning Centres in 12 states of India. • Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation - RILM has sought co-operation of Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation led by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi to launch a joint campaign with an objective to enroll 3, 000 out of school children. • Mayur Uniquoters Ltd – This partnership will send 715 children back to school. Partnerships forged • Euro. Kids International Pvt Ltd - Euro. Kids International has entered into an agreement with RILM to contribute in “Happy School” vertical, equipping the schools with adequate infrastructure. • British Council India - British Council aims to equip young students with core competencies to further their learning outcomes for participation in a global economy by training the teachers in association with RILM. • Macmillan Publishers India Private Ltd - Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) has entered into a pact with Macmillan to build the capacity of teachers and improve learning outcomes in students by conducting ‘Teacher Training Workshops’. Partnerships forged • Friends of Tribals’ Society (FTS) - Striking a partnership with FTS, RILM will reach out to 15000 children who have never attended schools in the North Eastern states, West Bengal and Odisha through ‘Asha Kiran- a ray of hope’ Program. • Wizdoms Libraries - RILM has been making libraries under its ‘Happy School’ vertical and has collaborated with Wizdoms Library for the same.
