Mandatory Graduation Practice In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, students MUST attend graduation practice on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 8: 00 AM Ashley Ridge High School
Student Names The diploma is a legal document. The name on the diploma will be the name on the birth certificate unless it was legally changed. Mandatory Graduation Practice Seniors will: � Fill out their post-secondary information form � Pick up their final report card �Walk through the graduation ceremony � Pick up their cap, gown, and any cords they’ve earned Students not eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony will be able to pick up their cap and gown on Monday, June 1 st, after 8 am
Graduation Day May 30 th, 2020 7: 00 PM North Charleston Coliseum � Parking will be an issue this year due to construction in the parking lot. � Students will receive ONLY 2 parking passes to be used for students, parents, and guest parking. � There will NOT be overflow parking at Tanger Outlet. � Doors will open at 6: 00 PM. � Students must be at the coliseum by 6: 00 PM dressed in their cap and gown READY TO GO. � Late arrivals will NOT be allowed to participate.
Graduation Supplies Ashley Ridge High School uses Jostens for our graduation supplies. They provide cap and gowns, invitations, note cards, t-shirts, etc. � Students only need a cap and gown � Jostens will meet with seniors on Thursday, Oct. 3 rd at 9: 00 AM � Graduation supply orders are due on Thursday, Oct. 10 th � Graduation supply make-up orders are due on Thursday, Oct. 31 st � All supplies will be delivered on Wednesday, April 8 th � http: //lowcountrygrad. com/

SC Needs-Based Grant Provides additional financial assistance to South Carolina’s neediest students � � Must complete the FAFSA each academic year Must be enrolled a minimum of six credit hours (part-time) or twelve credit hours (full-time) for the term Award Amount: Up to $2, 500/year for full-time students and up to $1, 250/year for part-time � � May receive funds up to eight full-time equivalent terms of funding Foster care youth may receive the maximum award in addition to Needbased Grant funds specifically for foster care youth. These youth must self-identify by May 1 st.

Scholarships � Scholarship information we receive will be posted on the Scholarship page with a link to the application � Applications requiring a transcript MUST be turned in one week prior to the due date or postmark deadline � Bring copies of letters to report ALL offers, even those you will not accept (anything with a $) � Scholarship recipients will be recognized at Senior Awards Night on May 6 th and scholarships offered will be printed in the graduation program

College Application Process � Apply ONLINE and print confirmation Remember your login information so you can check the status – GOOD IDEA TO ALWAYS USE THE SAME USERNAME & PASSWORD Enter Counselor email address correctly for schools with online counselor verification forms. If forms cannot be submitted online, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to print a copy, fill it out, & bring it to your counselor at least one week prior to the application deadline. � We DO NOT send copies of SAT/ACT scores. You must request an official copy be sent from the testing agency � Bring copies of ALL decision letters (acceptances, denials, wait lists) to Mrs. Pastor, Ms. Scott, Ms. Purvis, Mrs. Sewell, or Mrs. Ravenel.
