Using your playdough or small toys (or whatever you like around the house really), create a stop animation retelling a classic fairytale.
Plan Ideas: Monday - Write a plan for which fairytale you would like to recreate, and make a list of equipment that you will need to collect. Tuesday - Create a comic strip/ storyboard for your story. Wednesday - Begin filming, but taking photos after each tiny movement of your characters. You could include written speech or thought bubbles.
Plan Ideas: Thursday - Finish filming your story. Make sure your photos are in order in a file/folder. Create a short paragraph of your opening description, concentrating on using fronted adverbials to show position and 2 a sentences to add interest. Friday - Show your new film to an audience, either your family at home or virtually.
Example: opening description -Fronted adverbials -2 a sentences -Conjunctions Underneath the moonlit sky, a small, black nose sniffed tentatively at the cool breeze. The faded autumn leaves whispered their secrets to each other as the bristly tailed, pointy eared fox emerged from her den. High above, wispy grey clouds moved across the moonlight, temporarily creating a safe haven of darkness. Silently, she moved like a ghost across the leaf strewn forest floor, when all of a sudden. . . CRACK! A twig snapping in the distance.
