Artifact 1 The worst crime committed (in my opinion) was the making of soap at Stutthof. That might not seem bad to you, but are you wondering what that picture on the right? It’s a dead Jew, whose fat they were going to use for soap. Yep, a dead Jew’s fat would be used for soap. Apparently, hundreds of Jews were exterminated for the production of soap. The “mastermind” behind this morbid thing was Rudolf Spanner. http: //www. jewishgen. org/Forgotten. Camps/Ca mps/Stutthof. Eng. html Return to Exhibit

Artifact 2 Stutthof was the first concentration camp built outside of Germany. It was also the last camp that was liberated by the allies (Liberation was on 5/10/1945). Stutthof was basically a normal concentration camp (Labor, etc. ). Having a gas chamber with a capacity of 150 people, Stutthof had killed an estimated 85, 000 people before it was liberated http: //www. jewishgen. org/Forgotten. Camps/Ca mps/Stutthof. Artifact 3 Just like the look suggests, this is a “prisoner record”, obviously keeping track of certain prisoners and other information about inmates in the camp. This record is apparently from a prisoner in Stutthof by the name “Peter Zuckermann”. http: //pazvisionary. org/? page_id=4 Return to Exhibit

Artifact 4 This is the one gas chamber built in Stutthof. Remember, the gas chambers were an “effective” (only to the Nazis) way to kill Jews they “didn’t want” anymore (Weak, old, too young, women, etc. ). Apparently, conditions were brutal (in the camp). Many died in certain typhus outbreaks. The ones who also weren't fit to work were gassed in this small gas chamber. (Remember though, Gas chambers weren’t the only way to kill people, many also died of lethal injections by doctors. ) http: //en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Stutthof_concentrati on_camp Return to Exhibit

Artifact 9 Dr. Josef Mengele did a wide variety of experiments one of his most famous sets were his experiments on twins. He would selectively call out for twins to be given to him so he can preform his own experiments. He tried to create Siamese twins, on a pair of normal twins. The newly conjoined twins were in a lot of pain for a few days, until their eventual death. http: //yasupload. ir/images/0769138113618149 6519. jpg Return to Exhibit

Artifact 10 Here Joseph Mengele is standing with two other soldiers, he is the man in the middle. He was born on March 16 1911 in Günzburg, Germany. He died February 7 1979. In this picture he appears happy, and dressed quite sharp. Part of this got him the name “Angel of Death. ” Mengele would appear to enjoy the process of choosing whether a person would be sent to death or get to live within the camp. https: //furtherglory. wordpress. com/2010/11/30/ dr-josef-mengele-dont-it-make-my-brown-eyesblue/ Return to Exhibit

Artifact 12 Before Aushwitz was liberated by the allied forces Mengele and other S. S. men within Aushwitz left the camp, and hide in Germany. After a small matter off time his name started popping up as the name of a war criminal. So with other men who had been in the same situation as him he went to Argentina. His life wasn`t bad there he knew powerful people he had good connections all until his dad died and he lost most connections, so he had to go back into a hiding state with a fake name. He survived and evaded forces who had tried to capture him. In the end he died to a swimming pool accident. https: //www. google. com/url? sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source =images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0 CAc. Qj.
