Campus Compact History • Established in 1985 by four university presidents in Rhode Island

Campus Compact History • Established in 1985 by four university presidents in Rhode Island • The 34 th state Compact office was recently established. • Currently more than 1100 member colleges and universities • Educating citizens. Building communities.

Indiana Campus Compact History • Founded in 1993 by students with presidential support • Initially six institutions, ICC has grown to 45 member colleges and universities • All Indiana public institutions are currently part of ICC

Indiana Campus Compact Mission Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) is a network of college campuses involving students, faculty and staff in servicelearning and civic engagement in order to educate citizens, prepare tomorrow’s leaders, and contribute to the quality of life of America’s communities. ICC supports the integration of service-learning and civic engagement into campus culture by facilitating collaborations, sponsoring programs, sharing best practices, and promoting public awareness of higher education’s role in graduating well-informed, engaged citizens.

Volunteering for a non-profit organization or activity; Running for office – and better yet, winning! Volunteering for your issue or faith-based organization; • Serving on a public board or commission, or as the member of a club or service organization promoting service or the “public good”. Just to name a few…
