GPSF INTRODUCTION and HISTORY Act of Parliament in 2002 established the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS) - provide quality postgraduate training in Medicine in Ghana Prof. Nyame, the first Rector of the newly created GCPS founded GPSF in 2002 - collaboration with Ghanaian physicians in the US to support the mission of GCPS - serve as an advocacy group to influence health policy in Ghana - educate the general public about numerous health care issues in Ghana and Africa - support non-profit health initiatives in Ghana by Ghanaian and health professionals in North America
