Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Evidence Based Supported Employment ü IPS stands for individual placement and support. ü IPS supported employment helps people with serious mental illness work at regular jobs of their choice. ü The acronym “IPS” indicates the evidence-based approach rather than generic employment services. ü OSECE uses the terms IPS and Supported Employment (SE) interchangeably in reference to the evidenced-based practice.
