Reminders: – – – Take care of your own emotional health Be aware of the messages you are sending Celebrate successes (even if they seem small) Stay involved in your child’s life Give space/time to mourn and grieve Be available to listen to your child and their experiences Intercede when necessary Be knowledgeable about school structure and culture Encourage them to get involved in activities and organizations Remind them that friendships take time Set bedtimes to ensure an adequate amount of sleep (9 -12 hours/night) Monitor learning habits
