Testing Measures of Academic Progress • MAP Continues in fall and spring semester • Used for placement • Used for student growth Term Assessments • Given in every class • At end of each nine weeks, 20% of grade • A new way to study for most freshmen

Medical Requirements • All students entering 9 th grade must have a physical • Immunization record • We need these records before student can attend on Wednesday, August 15 • If you are scheduled for an appointment after school starts, that notification from your doctor’s office will serve as the record until that date • Appointment notification can be emailed to mgenovese@limestone 310. org or faxed 697 -8470

Class of 2021 Graduation Requirements 23½ Credits Located on page 12 of the handbook received at summer registration With 4. 5 credits needed this year to be classified (“passed”) as sophomore next
Homework Requests • Sick three or more days – Contact Dawn Hess in Guidance Office @ 697 -6271 Ext. 415 • Less than three days, contact teacher, friend of your student, etc.
Driver’s Education • Beginning 2 nd Semester Depending on DOB • Passing grade in a least eight courses – 1 st Semester Grades combined with Feeder School Grades • Must be in class for at least 30 clock hours – Any student missing 9 or more classes for ANY reason will have to retake the course • $125. 00 LCHS Fee/$20. 00 Secretary of State – Fuel, Insurance, Vehicle Maintenance (Free/Reduced Fee Waiver) / Permit and Vision Test
Driver’s Education • When will my child drive? – B-T-W is offered to students by their birthdays (older first) – Students drive during the school day during PD, ROTC, or Study Hall – 4 Students (2 cars) drive each hour – Questions can be directed to students’ teacher

Welcome Center/Safety Vestibule • All visitors must present a valid Drivers License or Government Issued ID on first visit • Only location for school items to be dropped off • Please do not deliver food or drink to school
ID and Book Bags • ID policy can be found on page 48 • ID must be visible when entering school and worn on lanyard provided. • Please note there will be a fee for lost or forgotten ID after two temporary IDs are issued. • Book bags are not allowed to be carried from class to class during the school day.
Attendance Policy • Attendance policy can be found on page 35 of the Student Handbook • Please call the attendance clerk with any absence • Students absent without LCHS receiving parent contact may be considered truant, an unexcused absence and receive discipline • After 10 absences, we will notify you that all further absences require documentation to be excused.
Tardy & Truancy Policy • Accumulation of 5 tardies results in one Detention/Time Management Meeting with Counselor • 5 -minute passing period • Each increment of 5 additional tardies will result in progressive discipline. • Progressive discipline for each additional tardy or truancy. ALL TARDIES ARE UNEXCUSED
Acts of Misconduct • Discipline Policies located on page 37 • Determines disciplinary response – Detention, Saturday Detention, ISS, Social Suspensiojn • Offenses also in violation of Bartonville ordinances could result in a ticket being issued by Bartonville Police Department (school resource officer)
Dress Code • • • Clothing must meet modesty and decency Clothing must cover shoulder to mid-thigh No hair coverings No outer jackets or coats No spikes or chains No clothing which displays inappropriate words or pictures, such as those with double meanings or references to illegal substances
Social Suspension • Social Suspension policy is found on page 52 • Actions resulting in Social Suspension: outstanding discipline, not serving Saturday detention, ten or more days of unexcused absences, etc. • Students may be suspended from school and afterschool activities such as athletic events, dances, Food Fair,
