Welcome Parents!

Class Dojo � Class Dojo is an easy and fun way for us to communicate. � I will share pictures of the students and also update you on your student’s daily behavior. � Feel free to message me on the app if you ever have any questions about anything going in school.

Class Website � The class website is a great way for you to see what we are covering in class for the week. � Weekly vocabulary and spelling words, stories, and topics covered will be updated by every Sunday morning. � You can also download extra practice for your child to complete at home. This is not graded, but you can send it to school and I will correct it for you!

Quizzes, Tests, Homework � � We will have a spelling and vocabulary quiz every two weeks. They will always be on a Thursday. We will take our first set of words on Sunday (September 25 th). We will have a quiz on these words on Thursday, October 6 th. We will have one reading and one grammar test each quarter. This is a good way to see how your child is doing before the test at the end of the quarter. There will be one reading and one grammar test each quarter. They will be at the end of October. You will receive a study guide to help study at home for each test. We will not have homework in my English class next year. Instead of completing homework, I would like for your child to practice reading at home. I will send a reading packet home with them next week with sight words and reading passages.
