Transformational Change Incremental Change Transformational Change The thinking that exists today in the area where you want to drive a new level of results is sufficient to achieve the desired results. E. g. learning new software; switching from manual to automatic. Achieving breakthrough results requires a change in thinking: revising assumptions and beliefs. E. g. moving to Common Core; moving from top down authority-based structure to shared power.
Transformational Change Incremental Change Transformational Change Leaders need only to change behaviors to achieve results. Training programs will change behaviors. Leaders need to change thinking by surfacing and challenging conscious and unconscious assumptions and beliefs. Building relationships is pivotal.
