Sports Information Night ● Chain of Command/Communication (Time/Place Sensitivity): 1. student-coach 2. student, parent, coach 3. student, parent, coach, AD ● Playing time is a coach-driven decision; questions should be directed to the coach and not brought to the administrative level ● Sportsmanship on field and in stands ● Realistic expectations: staff of 2; seasonal nonteaching nature of coaching staff; OHSAA compliance; resources
Sports Information Night ● Required for any participation: current physical on file (1 yr) and online Final Forms registration ● Academic Eligibility: Must pass 5 credits in prior term (2 Fs you are out), at least a 1. 5 term GPA in last term, under 20 years old ● Grade 10+ Transfers: NEW RULE** must meet 1 of 11 exceptions or else must sit out last 50% of regular season and postseason

GAME OPERATIONS ●We are looking for student and parent volunteers to work freshman, JV events in such areas as: o Scoreboard and video board operators – stadium and indoor sports o Statkeepers o Announcers o Football chain gang o Volleyball line judges o Paid in community service hours, game admissions or Bomber PRIDE!

Athletic Training Services Injury Assessment First aid & emergency care Determines athlete return to play status Communicates with coaches, doctors and families Injury Prevention Taping/Bracing/Stretching/Strengthening Maintains safe training environments (hydration, medical equipment, monitoring weather) Injury Rehabilitation Concussion Testing A resource for health, wellness & improving athletic performance
Seeing the Athletic Trainer Availability On campus teaching class 12: 30 -2: 15 pm After school M-F 2: 15 - 5: 30 pm At home athletic contests Rehab / HEP’s from the ATC Printed & emailed to each student Notes from the doctor must be turned in with athlete when they see a physician for a sport related injury Playing Status / Clearance to Return to Sport

Kenston Athletic Boosters REID GUARNIERI INTRODUCTION -Funding cycle starts with the district budget; internal requests and needs determined and coordinated by the AD and principal -Our ability to fund large projects and extra accoutrements is affected dramatically by annual gate receipts -To the best of our ability we provide all necessities and items that stay with the program -Any shortfalls create pockets of opportunity for booster giving not only for luxuries but also for items of necessity and large capital projects (e. g. team meals, travel apparel, accessories, senior gifts all the way up to massive facility needs – equipment, scoreboard, turf, weight room)
