CONDUCT OF REGIONAL MEET IN UNIVERSITIES/COLLEGES The major events in 49 th KVS NSM have been conducted in Universities/Colleges which are having required infrastructure, lodging and boarding facilities. It is proposed in NSCB Meeting held on 11 th July 2018 that all Regions should explore the possibilities of conducting Regional/National events in such Institutes. All the Principals will explore the possibilities to conduct events at their nearby institution having required infrastructure and intimate the details to Regional Office. Online Entries of the participants First time online entries have been made by the Regional Office for all the participants of 49 th KVS NSM. Though it was new system which worked very well and helped in ensuring transparency. However, for error free online entry, it is proposed that from the next session onwards the Regional Venue will fill all the particulars of the participants and get it signed by the concerned participants at the Regional Venue itself.

KVS has proposed in NSCB Meeting to introduce the following new events in 2019 -20 • Boxing U- 14 & 17 (Girls) • Cricket U-17 (Girls) • Wrestling U-17 & 19 (Girls) • Cricket U-14 (Boys) • Gymnastics U-14 & 17 (Girls & Boys ) • Archery – Compound events (Girls & Boys) All the principals will explore the possibilities to introduce Gymnastics, Wrestling in vidyalayas and develop basic infrastructure.

Important points to be noted • Railway reservation Traveling of Bhopal contingent to National venue at Chennai in sleeper class was raised in NSCB Meeting. • Online entry for KVS National Meet Online entries have been made by the Regional Office for all the participants of 49 th KVS NSM. The data sent by Regional venues were having lot of mistakes. Now from the next session onwards the Regional Venue will fill all the particulars of the participants online. The venue principal will ensure the particulars filled in the online formate must be error free which will be verified and signed by the concerned participants at the Regional Venue itself.

• Drop out of the participants It has been observed that some participants in 49 th KVS NSM were dropped out at the last moment which caused lot of inconvenience. Such drop out should be avoided as far as possible. • Exemption from escorting duty Many application of teachers were received for exemption of escort duty. Since escorting is also a part of duty, teacher deputed as escort should not seek exemption without very genuine reason.

• Participation of over age participants in Regional meet Few cases of over age participation were brought to the notice of this office. Thorough verification/checking must be done at Vidyalaya and Regional venue before allowing participation. • Entries of participants/team in Regional meet The teams not reported as per the entries at regional venues which causes problems to the venue Principal. Therefore it is requested to send actual entries in opted games by the vidyalaya. • Late submission of results Instructions regarding the submission of results of Regional Meet immediate after completion has been issued by this office but some venues failed to do so, due to which timely reservation arrangement is delayed. The venue principal should ensure timely submission of results to R O.
