All About Me · My background · I grew up in New Jersey (Go Yankees!) · Nursing School in Philadelphia (Go Phillies!) · Graduate School in Florida (Go Tampa Bay!) · Graduate School in New Orleans (forget Baseball! Let’s go to Mardi Gras!) · My experience · Nursing in Critical Care, ER, trauma for 38 years. · I am a recently retired Captain in the Navy Nurse Corps. · I have taught at Rivier since 2004 (Go Soxs!)

Simulation Lab · Show up on time · Strict dress code · We stay the entire time – don’t ask what time we are leaving · Last exam will have questions from SIM! · What time is SIM LAB? ? 1730!!!!!
Breaks · Nothing structured · If you have to go, GO!
Exams · Bring your own supplies for exams · Forced to use those scantrons · Test back ASAP usually by next morning · don’t ask me, “is there going to be math on the test”?
My Rules…. . · Do not ask me for my powerpoints. · Do not ask me to take the exam in a separate room at a separate time unless you have a note. · Do not ask me how quick I will grade the exams · Don’t write or text me saying, “I know you told the class……. but I’m… (special)”
No whining or bitching · If you don’t like the way things are being run – tell me! · I’ll find out anyway
About this Evening Class · Again…we are all adults · I have lived on this planet for 50+ yrs · When we deal with children and families there will be some editorial comments – I’ve earned them · If I “Offend” you, there are 3 options as I see it: · Tell me (like an adult) · Argue the point (like an adult) · Go to my boss and get me fired (like a child)
