December 2016 � Christmas fair 11/12/16 held in cultural centre in association with Kilkishen Development. � School � 45 calendar with theme get active. card drive 15/12/17 held in Gleesons Bar, Kilkishen.

Spring 2017 � Bike rack/shelter on the school grounds made by PAC members and parents. � Table quiz 16/03/17 Jacks Place, Kilkishen. � Clothes collection x 2 - 250 books purchased for the library from monies raised, so thanks to all who donated.

May 2017 �Communion party 20/05/17 - a get together for the children who have made their communion and their families to have a cup of tea and treats. �Bag packing 05/05/17 and 06/05/17. Thanks to all who gave 2 hours of your time for this event.

June 2017 � End of year school sports day and BBQ 22/06/17. � Presentations made on the day to Conor Harrison for a cheque for € 2, 600 which will go towards helping with the school building costs. � and also presentation to Nonie Donellan with a plaque for her kind donation of a cake every year to the first communion classes since the early 1970 s to today.

December 2017 � Santa Experience - held in the school on 10/12/17. This was our first year doing this as a solo project and it turned out to be a great success. �A sub committee of Pam, Nicola, Cassandra, John, Heather and Niki was formed early in the year and went to work on this event. Well done to them on putting together a great day. � Big thanks to our Santa and Mrs Claus along with their elves and helpers for making the day special for all the kids who attended.

December 2017 cont. . . �A special word of thanks to Mark Slattery who organised army tents for the day and for driving Santa through the village in the army truck. � Also huge thanks needs to go to Niki Zimmerman who transformed a portakabin into a Christmas wonder land for those attending. � Big thanks also to our photographer Kevin Donovan for another excellent job on the photos for the event.

December 2017 cont. . . � Cake sale -Thanks also to all who donated cakes for the sale on the day and big thanks to all who helped put up tents and take them down over the weekend. � 45 card drive jacks place 15/12/17, thanks to all who came out and supported the night and to all of you who returned your tickets to the school.

Thank You to We would like to thank a few people for their help throughout the year � Edel Mc. Inerney for all her work with singing and music for communion and conformations � Niki Zimmerman for getting the school gardens back in use again last year, the kids all learned new skills and learned about growing vegetables and herbs. � Richard Greeves and Martina O’Hagan for helping to train basketball skills to all the classes throughout the year.

The school has always been made available to the PAC for all events that have been run and we are very grateful for this. � And finally to all the parents for supporting events volunteering your time and for all your donations throughout the year , massive thanks to one and all of you.

� Jan 2018 – AGM – Wednesday 24 th January 2018 – Kilkishen National School. � March 2018 – Quiz Night – Jacks Place – 16 th March

� Easter Event –School disco on first day of Easter Mid Term , 23 rd March 2018 at Cultural Centre small Easter egg and drink. Spot prizes for kids. � April/May 2018 – PAC Election proposed to elect new committee members to replace outgoing members – to allow handover. � April/May 2018 – Bag Pack - venue and date to be confirmed. Volunteers required for this event.

� May 2018 – First Holy Communion, Saturday 26 th May 2018 – volunteers required to set up and host school reception as previous years. Food donations as previous years. � June 2018 – As previous years School Sports Day – Date to be confirmed.

� End of School Event – Possibility of Choir/Childrens Choir in St Senans Church as end of school year event. � Inspirational Talks – organising and facilitating a number of talks possibly on Fitness/Health/ Careers/Nature Talks to all classes in school over the coming months. Parents/Local entrepreneurs willing to volunteer time to give talks on topics that would be of interest to the children.
