Safety Protocols • Masks must be worn on the bus. • Temperature will be taken and protocol questions will be asked to both bus riders and car riders as they enter the school. • Masks must be worn in class and in hallways. • Social distancing must occur during lunch. • No after school activities other than sports or band. Clubs and other activities may begin after Labor Day. • Please do not come to check students out early. Please schedule appointments during days your student is scheduled to be at home.

When you are at home, students are expected to be in front of their computer being taught at the same time the students at school are being taught. Due dates for assignments, etc. are the same for virtual students and classroom students.

After School Activity Bus *Your sponsor or coach will escort you to the cafeteria at 5: 30. ASA Routes are posted on our website.

Arrival Procedures Arriving by bus: Arriving by car: All bus students are expected to wear masks on the bus as well as when entering the building. All students are expected to wear masks when entering the building. Upon arrival temperatures will be taken and protocol questions will be answered. Any student with a temperature higher than 100. 4 will be sent home. When students depart from a bus in the morning, they should go directly inside the school to Duke Hallway. Students must go to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Students are not allowed to socialize outside at the bus loading zone. Upon arrival temperatures will be taken and protocol questions will be answered. Any student with a temperature higher than 100. 4 will be sent home. If you arrive to school before the 8: 05 bell as a car rider, please do not roam the hallways. Students should go directly to Duke Hallway until they hear the 8: 05 bell.

Departure Procedures Where do I go if I am a car rider? *Car riders please go to the front of the school. Car riders are not allowed to go to the bus loading zone to socialize after school. Where should my parents park if I am a car rider? *Your parents should be parked in the front of the school. Please do not block traffic. *Cars are not allowed on the side of the building next to the busses due to safety issues. How do I find where my bus is located? *Bus riders should view the bus board everyday in order to determine their bus location.

Supply List and Summer Reading Students can access the supply list on the school website. The list is organized by content areas. Make sure that you have completed your summer reading assignments for English and for history.

After School Until Labor Day, there will be no clubs or after school activities other than sports and band. We will re-address the issue after Labor Day when the superintendent decides to either continue or go back to a 5 -day week.

School Bus Information What is my bus number? Go to the district webpage to apply for a bus route. Eventually routes will be posted on our webpage as well. What if you need to ride a new bus? Go to Ms. Torres in the front office for a bus pass. What route do I take for the After School Activity Bus? Activity Bus Routes will be located on the bulletin board in the dining hall. And as if now, Activity Busses are ONLY for sports and band.

Class Dues Why do we have class dues? Student activity fees are collected in lieu of candy sales, magazines sales, and fundraisers that are employed by other schools in the district. How do we spend the money that is collected? There are many events and activities that we like to provide for our students which are not financially covered by our budget. We use the dues for behavior rewards, a school carnival, AP online prep, A/B Honor Roll awards, and pep rally supplies.

Student ID Per DCPS Superintendent, students must wear their ID at all times. If you lost your ID, go to the Student Learning Center to purchase a new ID. The IDs cost $1. Student IDs can be purchased during lunch.
