Purpose of this meeting: • Introduce coaching staff, Athletic Director, & Booster Club, • Why We Play, • MSHSL & athletic department policies, • Program objective, policies & procedures, • Discuss tryouts/team placement/cuts, • Answer questions.

Coaching Staff • Varsity: James Cave ‘ 87 (2 nd year) • C-Team: Becca Scott (2 nd season) • B-Squad: Adam Tavernit ‘ 08 (2 nd season) • Junior Varsity: Katie Hayden (3 rd season) • GK/Varsity Assistant: Abby Personius (1 st season) • Varsity Assistant: Nicole Lee (2 nd season)

Roseville Area High School Girls Soccer “ Objective, Polices & Procedures

Program Objective The objective of the Roseville Area High School girls soccer program is to provide an opportunity for its participants to create and nurture positive and meaningful relationships and experiences, foster humble, hardworking, respectful, committed, sporting, and empowered young women, develop and refine individual technical and tactical skill, and to compete with all other girls soccer programs in the state while continuing, advancing, and creating the Legacy of Roseville Girls Soccer.

Parent-Coach Contact Soccer field is simply an extension of the classroom therefore. . • PURPOSE: To empower the young women of this program and foster appropriate communication between parents and coaches (thus modeling for our daughters).

Parent-Coach Contact • TEAM DESIGNATION and/or PLAYING TIME: Discussion with parent only after the player has discussed with Coach Cave. • PARENT CONCERN and/or COMMENT: – Never on field unless prearranged, – Never at home or cell unless coach initiated. – Never on Social Media • ISSUE WITH COACH: Must be discussed with coach first. Very sensitive issues to be directed to Coach Cave or Mr. Whisler.

Parent-Coach Contact • PARENT / COACH RELATIONSHIPS: We want to build positive relationships with our parents. • BOTTOM LINE: To empower the young women of this program and foster appropriate communication between parents and coaches (thus modeling for our daughters).

Tryouts & Teams Designation • Goal is to not make cuts. • Making teams (Try to create the best environment for the most players): – Most playing time for the most players – Comparable skill level regardless of age – Player development – Competitive teams – Balanced rosters • More information on team philosophies in program manual.

RAHS Student Code of Responsibility ü Roseville Area High School takes student behavior and conduct very seriously. RAHS expects all of its students will: ü Respect the rights and beliefs of others, ü Treat others with courtesy and consideration, ü Be fully responsible for their own actions and the consequences of their actions, ü Respect the property of others, ü Respect and obey the rules of the school and the laws of their community, state, and country, ü Show respect to those who are responsible for enforcing the rules of their school and laws of their community, state, and country.

MSHSL Chemical Policy First • Lose of eligibility for 2 weeks, 2 matches. • Lose of captain privileges one year. • Lose of eligibility for 3 weeks, 6 matches. Second • Lose of captain privileges. Third • Lose of eligibility for 4 weeks, 12 matches. • Lose of captain privileges. NOTE: • All athletes must attend all team practices, matches, etc. . or consequences will be prolonged. • Rules apply 12 months in or out of season.

Program Behavior & Attitude Policy “An attitude or behavior that works to breakdown our pursuit of the program objectives will not be tolerated. ” First Individual meeting with coaches. Second 1 week suspension from practice & games. Third Could include cut from program, lose of awards, further suspension, etc. . Statement of Integrity

Program Policy Highlights • Training and matches are mandatory! • Training uniform is required for all training sessions & scrimmages (shorts & shirt)-purchase tonight • C/B/JV will provide own BLACK match socks (Cave has some for purchase $6) • Varsity players required to purchase team socks. • Tape same color as socks • Shin guards! (All training sessions, all matches) • Encouraged ride bus home (no exceptions for Varsity) • No treat list. Players bring OWN water bottle. . • Training and matches (Varsity = RAHS, C/B/JV = RAMS)

Soccer Fees • ATHLETIC DEPT (Pay at Athletics Sign-Up): – $200. 00 (paid at athletic sign-up) • PROGRAM – $10/practice shirt AND $20/practice shorts * – $45/program backpack (Optional for 9/B/JV) • VARSITY (Letter home on Thursday) * – $100 (Preseason dinner, match socks, trip) – $45/program backpack * Contact Coach Cave is cost is prohibitive
