HHS Girls soccer program • HHS Girls soccer has three levels of teams. Varsity, JV and C-Squad. • Off-season training is now until 8 -16 -2021. Focus should be on technical skills and fitness/conditioning. • Strongly recommended by coaching staff to participate in Raiders Express in June/July or personal weight-fitness plan. • Formal trainings with coaches in the off-season will begin on 6 -14 -21. Trainings will be held at Todd Field. Trainings are $10 per session per player to attend. We will have a June series and July series. Money received is directed towards the program for apparel and other expenses. All trainings will abide by COVID-19 protocols in place by HHS Athletics and MDOH. Part of the trainings will be position specific as well, i. e. Goal Keeper, Finishing, Defending and Attacking. Also, some fitness training will be incorporated too. • No contact period is 7 -3 -21 through 7 -9 -21. • Captain’s practice is solely handled by our captains and will likely be held 8 -9 -21 through 8 -13 -21. Details to come. • Tryouts for Girls soccer will be 8 -16 -21 and 8 -17 -21 at Todd Field. Times are TBD but there will be two sessions each day. We communicate the results on our team page with a unique # given to each player at the end of our last tryout session. This communication is done once tryouts are fully done and the coaching staff has been able to analyze the evaluations. NOTE: Please see our Tryout Policy document on our team page for full details.

Program Expectations • This program is built on respect, trust, commitment, integrity, hard work

Program Expectations • This program is built on respect, trust, commitment, integrity, hard work ethic and teamwork. • No tolerance for bullying, hazing or negative treatment. • Full adherence to code of conduct and the MSHSL guidelines for a student-athlete is expected. • Coaching staff is continuing to build our culture for competitiveness, discipline, focus and inclusion. Team and program come first over the player. As coaches, we strive to have a positive impact on each student-athlete as an individual and a player. • Encourage active attendance at our summer coach trainings when available. • Actively participate in the character lessons that each team conducts during the season. • Developing the communication channel of player to coach is very important. We want parents to cheer for their daughter, cheer for her team, support the program and make sure it is fun. Conversations regarding what team placed on, position, minutes played, absences or performance feedback are designed to be with player and coach. • Actively participate in any fundraising activities the program does: Golf Event and Gerten’s are the two events. Players: please read the Player Handbook document on our team page. Parents: please read the Parent Handbook document located on Hastings Athletics located under the Athletic Dept tab.
