Experiment- Motivation µ the relationship between the temperature and the number of windows µ what kind of material is better in keeping the house cool? µ Do plants help cooling down the house?

Experiment- Goal µ First to know that… Boxes = Houses Holes = Windows µ We wish to come up… A diagram about the relation for the temperature and the number of holes. Different statistics for six different materials.

Experiment µ Tools: 1) 7 boxes which all have same holes on them. 2) 7 kinds of materials : black papers, blue and white paint, cement, aluminum foil, foam boards, and plastic 3) 42 thermometers 4) plants

Experiment µ Steps: 1) Cover 7 boxes with 7 kinds of materials, and cut 6 holes on them to put in thermometers. 2) Cut holes on the box covered with black papers.

Experiment µ 3) Put the box outdoor, and close the holes in turns. ↑ 5 square holes ↑only a line of holes ↑ 3 square holes ↑no holes ↑ 2 square holes

Experiment µ 4) Find the number of holes that can keep the box coolest, and cut all the other boxes into the same. ↑blue paint ↑foam boards ↑aluminum foil ↑cement ↑white paint ↑plastic

Experiment µ 5) Put the other 6 boxes outdoor, and record the temperature in all the boxes.
