KAPOW – Kids and the Power of Work Lesson 3 Code of Conduct is a set of rules outlining the social norms, rules and responsibilities/practices for an individual or organization. • Rules are sometimes called codes of behavior • People live by rules so that life is orderly and people get along with each other • When people have good habits and attitudes, they are following the rules. • Following a code behavior shows respect for yourself and others • Breaking the rules has consequences (example: traffic ticket or low grade for turning in homework late)
